maxpoweruser: I've taken the liberty of creating a wishlist entry for Slay the Spire 2:
I'm sure everybody in this thread will vote for it, and together we can help bring the game to GOG.
I don't play card deck builder games, so no vote from me.

Ganni1987: As a heads up, the first Slay the Spire game has been abandoned on GOG, it's several patches behind the Steam version.
I've put in like 500+ hours into Slay the Spire and I can say with great confidence that the game is pretty much complete as is without the updated patches that are hotfixes for Steam, Steam Deck, other OSes, and some languages updates. The achievements are also in-game too.

While devpubs should be keeping their versions updated, it would be a shame for anyone to not experience this game just because it's missing small things like that.

Also, obligatory note to anyone reading this thread to disregard ARD's stupid ass comment as always.

I think the point is, by GOG helping to sponsor / partner with the event, GOG is trying to get their name out there and encourage potential customers and devs to notice them.

I know everyone loves to be annoyed or upset at GOG for doing anything ever, but GOG can't just sit on their haunches, and it's not like this is the Amazon Luna or some kind of "celebrate DRM" :P thing.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Thanks for the heads up. Good thing I never bought that game since it is missing Achievements on GOG.
It has in-game achievements which are exactly the same ones as the online achievements. So nothing is missing and your complaint is even more pointless than usual.

And when they see what passes as new release titles on GOG, which have been on Steam for years, and see all the games missing from GOG, that are on Steam, and cannot see any GOG Exclusive Big Name Titles, what are they going to think?
Most will think: "Steam has EVERYTHING, so why bother with such a useless small fry mob like GOG."

Not sure what you're saying. GOG shouldn't advertise because they can't get the latest and greatest here? Seems like a perpetual chicken-egg situation.

In any case I doubt we're going to come to an agreement.
Interesting they sent me the email for this show that aired at 1pm my time, email sent 2:30pm my time.
With game preservation and ownership of your purchased games being hot topics right now too the timing couldn't be better for GOG to get their name out there indeed.

Steam launched with a signature draw card exclusive title, built on that exclusivity with more and more Steam only titles, and many of those titles are still Steam exclusives. To the best of my knowledge, GOG has never had a signature draw card exclusive title, much less a GOG first others later release, let alone a GOG exclusive game release.

GOG does need to advertise itself, but it also needs hard product to sell, and its hard product has been chronically lacking.

GOG has 2 big franchises associated with it, but neither have been sold as GOG exclusives even at launch. The Witcher, and Cyberpunk.

With this triple i thing, there were plenty of Steam only titles, some titles with no distribution platform mentioned, a few console only titles, and 4 multi-platform titles where GOG was mentioned. That's what I'm getting at about the lack of exclusivity. There was nothnig shown, that would be solely on GOG, that could be pointed to, for us to be able to shout: "This will be great and will be Only On GOG!"
I managed to watch the Triple-i stream. It was interesting! A couple of games grabbed my attention... Shadows of Doubt looks like a 3D pixel private detective game I'd like to play. ;) I was not expecting dinosaurs to appear in that medieval building game aptly named Dinolords. xD The companion creature exploring alongside the protagonist in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was so adorable! And speaking of cute: Never Alone 2 made the briefest of cameos, but it too was filled with cuteness. During UnderMine 2's gameplay trailer, those two players tossing that lit mine ball back and forth between them before it exploded and killed them both, made me chuckle. xD The kitten meows I heard in the segment for Cat Quest III got me a little hyped. :P As someone who played many hours of Streets of Rogue with a friend, I was excited to catch a glimpse of Streets of Rogue 2! As a fan of the studio behind the great Spiritfarer game, it got me excited to see their next project, 33 Immortals! :) And then everything ended with a bang: MOUSE, V Rising - Legacy of Castlevania and The Rogue: Prince of Persia all seemed promising titles to me.

I chose to remain optimistic that most of these titles will land here on GOG, otherwise it would have been counter-productive of GOG to encourage us to watch the Triple-i Initiative stream. ;) What gives me hope... Old World: Beyond the Throne appeared on today's front store page news item, shortly after this stream was broadcast. :P
At this point I think anything GOG does to get their name out there is a good thing.

And to a few comments earlier...

... I think GOG has long ago come to terms with the fact they cannot chase the AAA space cornered by Steam. After realizing that, their seeming ambivalence toward the indie space has been surprising. But...

... it feels like that's changing.

Old games are certainly a big reason I come here, but old games are niche... and the indie world is where GOG is going to have to stake their claim and work to draw in content and customers -- using a steady stream of quality indies as a gateway to GOG's catalog of "classics." Come for the indies (hopefully high quality), stay for the oldies (but goodies).

If GOG is ending their ambivalence towards indies, a good way to show it would be to show support for the indie OS, Linux. :b
I agree with others about being annoyed at this being sponsored by GOG but so few GAMES mentioning them as an option.
I saw maybe 2 things I was excited for GOG for, one being the Old World expansion and I can't remember the other. The others I wanted were Never Alone 2 which is AT LEAST not on Steam but Humble is getting it, Mouse, the new Prince Of Persia and maybe the mountain city simulation one.
I imagine Disney is SEETHING about Mouse but they can't do anything about it.
If memory serves, a couple, like Shadows of Doubt or MOUSE are unofficially confirmed for release on GoG.

Also officially confirmed (for a while already) are:

Laysara: Summit Kingdom (Demo)
Gestalt: Steam and Cinder

matterbandit: [...]. Shadows of Doubt looks like a 3D pixel private detective game I'd like to play. ;) [...]
I just want to say that Shadows of Doubt is very higely recomneded. It is one of the most original and ambitious games I have played in a long time. Most people dont realise the scope of this game until they have played it. Basically, what they have done is they have created a living city, populated it with normal people living normal life. They work, eat, shop, live together, go out together. You can enter every single building and every room (not legally, but...). There are shops, pawn brokers, bars, layndromats, hotels, offices and so on, all working.and simulated. This is the most comprehensive simulated working city I have seen in a game.

And within this city - they let you lose, and the plup some killers. It is completelt open, how you solve the cases is up to you. How you approch anything, is up to you. You make money, you need to eat, you can buy an appartment and decrrate it, you take side jobs (including things like vandalism and intimidation, finding stolen items, buisness espionage, following people to see if they are unfaitful and so on). The simulation is to the level that at one point I was sneaking through some vents, the guards spoted my since I had been looking through some trash earlier, and I was smelly since I had not had a shower earlier - they smelled me, and I had to run :). On another playtrhough I stopped getting notifications of any murder, I thought the game was bugged (early access and all that) so I spent som time doing side quests. Turned out there had been a murder, but the victim was living alone and unemployed so he was not missed and noone found him, so the murder was never reported. I found him by accident.

It is utterly brilliant
