No, seriously, assuming that an unreleased game will be "good" is a bit dangerous. It's the logic behind pre-orders, which isn't the most healthy trend in the industry. After several disappointments (fortunately only games not bought after all, and not purchase regrets), I lost the abilty to get hyped on an incoming release. And thinking of the money I could have wasted (and people have), I'd suggest you avoid it too as a general rule.

Just saying.

(Also I keep a vaguely curious eye on : The System Shock Remake, The Phantom Doctrine (because cold war), UBoat, Abandon Ship, Aquanox Deep Descent, and the next not-quite-xcom game by the xcom people, but it's really with the idea to check if they're any good once they'll have been released, patched, repatched, postpatched and repostpatched. I don't really presume they'll be worth it, but I'd probably buy them if they meet their potential.

Only upcoming ( or rather, still TBA ) good new game I've followed is Indivisible.

It has a playable demo out, showcasing its cross between Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Valkyrie Profile.

I don't use social media or follow the news so... woop de woop.

I very rarely follow a game before release but Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass. I trust Croteam will once again nail it.
