Ghorpm: ...their income reduced...
avatar
mobutu: You make the same mistake as the developers of this game did, assuming that these "pirates" would have bought the game if said game was uncrackable ;)
imo there is no such thing as "reduced income because of piracy" (or if it is, it is negligible aka peanuts money).
Actually I am not assuming anything :) It's about relating the sales of a digital product to non-digital one. If you sell e.g. shirts or cars every product that got stolen is a loss for you. It is not the same for digital stuff but I don't blame the devs to think that way especially if they want to earn more money (who doesn't? :). As for myself I'm not that sure if it is as easy as you wrote so - as I said before - I try to not assume anything. The problem is that comparing digital and nondigital goods is no that easy but that is the same money you get paid for both of them ;)

Ghorpm: they were feeling disappointed about their game being pirated and when you are in a such a mood you can easily make ridiculous assumptions.
You'd think the people who run the "business" side would try to avoid emotion ("nothing personal, just business"), but perhaps they're a small team.

Well, yeah - as I said before: I would be pretty pissed if I had a feeling that people cheat on me and most probably I would do something ridiculous as well. So I can don't blame them - I wish them all the best in fact and I'll get Banner Saga 2 when it gets here.

From the gamecard:
Never stop fighting, even if you turn off your computer! While you are studying or working, the general you assign takes command over your fortifications.

But, but while I'm at work I wanna play, don't want some general to play it for me ;(
It's a game, not a self-feeding plant! :P

Good question. They were saying no to offline about half a year ago. Did they change their tune?

I hope so. Nival's a brutal company, love 'em.
If an always online title shows up in here (for the 1st time, I suppose) then we can have others, I mean, Goblins in here as well ;D
Megamagic: Wizards of the Neon Age got a gamecard.

Recommended system requirements
Memory: 8 GB RAM

Holy shit. How?
This game looks worse than Doom which ran on 486DX with 8MB RAM.

That's probably because the dev(s) tested the game on a system with 8GB RAM. And instead of taking the risk of saying "Don't worry, it can run with only 4GB RAM," they chose to be on the safe side because they know it works on a 8GB machine.

That's often the case for indie titles that don't have a large testing range.
