How do you post a game review on GOG? I thought there was a way to do this from the game's page, but maybe it's somewhere else? I can't even remember how to provide a user rating of a game, let alone a review. And I'm not finding anything in the FAQ's.

On the game's page, you should see a Reviews section under the game description. To the right of that (still under the game description) should be My Review add now, with 'add now' underlined and acting as an active link for you to post a review.

My understanding is you should be able to go to the game's store page, scroll down to where the reviews are, tick a star rating beside "My rating", hit Add Now beside "My review" then start typing up a review, then hit submit once you're done and it should(?) appear.

However in my experience this hasn't appeared to work properly, and I'm not sure why.

Thanks for the replies. However, there is no active links on the game page, at least for this particular game. It's fairly new on GOG, so there aren't even any reviews. Apparently there have been a few players who have rated the game (including me somehow?), but no reviews are showing up. Since I may have rated the game without realizing it (by clicking the star rating), maybe I'm now prevented from leaving a review. Regardless, it would be helpful for there to be some info in the FAQ's. Might be time for me to contact support, eh?

It looks like you are trying to review the game via the Galaxy client. Try doing so, instead, through the website.

Thanks Gragar. As suggested, I went to the website and tried again...same non-result. No active links there either.

In the meantime, I went to the game pages of several other games I own but haven't (inadvertently) rated, and it looks like there is an "add now" link for "My review" under the User Reviews section of those games. So what it looks like to me is if you've "rated" a game without reviewing it, you're locked out of further activity.

If that's the case, the GOG review system could use some definite improvements.

No, it's not that. It's simply because you've already reviewed it and it's just not showing up on the store page yet. Your review title goes "FMV goodness..." and starts with "This game might be really good, or b-movie bad..."

Holy crap! I remember trying to review it, but it didn't take so I assumed I screwed something up. And in the meantime, I couldn't remember where or how I'd done it. I realize that was only a few days ago, but apparently it was a lot of dead brain cells ago, too! What I don't remember doing was "rating" the game, but I must have when I tried to review it.

Where is the review I've written showing up if it's not on the game page?

And that begs another question: is there a time frame when a review shows up on the site/client after it's submitted?

There's no fixed time frame if that's what you're asking. New releases always take a while before reviews start appearing though.

Okay, learning something new about my GOG account today. I see (for the first time) an Activity Feed in my profile, which is apparently defaulted to allow for public viewing. It's the only place I see the review I tried to post....is that where you found it?
