As you know Hardsuit has been replaced and development work is in the hands of another studio. Whatever they currently do or what they changed or keep from Hardsuit's work in regards to anything at all is impossible to say.

That game is probably a scam anyway and will never be released.

If it was any other publisher it would be likely for it to end up on the graveyard after their original developers have been shown the door. This is Paradox though and they push thru whatever it's going to end up being.

Well, "Kind of changed" would be putting it lightly at this point. I'm not entirely sure what kind of rocks you live under in terms of gaming news, but the complete Gong Show that has been the development is well documented at this point.

And at this point, were I the publisher, I'd simply shrug and say, "Alright, this isn't happening. Seeya." and can the thing.

What articles? I haven't heard any news about the game ever since February, when the publisher torpedoed the game's development. Are you sure you weren't reading about one of the gazillion other Vampire games that have nothing to do with Bloodlines 2?

Can't say anything about the upcoming game, but in the original playing a Malkavian was indeed fun, but not as a first playthourgh. Having oracular powers means you will anticipate (or at least hint) at future events during dialogue, among other things, which will not make sense if you're playing the game for the first time. I'd call them poetically deranged :P. Most of what they say does make sense in a weird effed up way.

The second article is 2-years-old. The first article is from February, when we received the last news for Bloodlines 2 (that the developers would be replaced and that the game would be delayed indefinitely). The person talking about the depiction of mental illness was also fired last year.

Ever since February, it has been radio silence (except for an apparent Discord post that the game was not cancelled as of yet). We don't know what form the game will take, what will be retained, what will be discarded, or even if the game's development will restart from scratch. Hell, we don't even know who the new developers are.
