I can recommend Field of Glory: Empires. Simple to get into and highly addictive ("one more turn"). Even more fun with battle export to Field of Glory 2. Just finished my first Roman playthrough by beating evil Macedonia to nothingness.

So, Combat Mission: Afrika Korps is regularly priced $5.99 on sale for $5.99?

Just a quick aside...

While I do appreciate a war games sale (it seems you do actually listen!)...

... and will probably picked up a couple of titles here so I won't have to resort to my Steam copies...

... it seems we're seeing the same sales prices on the same games relatively often. It would be nice to see one or two deals that looked a bit more exciting either in price or goodies. While I see a number of good games in this sale, I've seen what seems like the same games seemingly at the same prices over the last month or two.

Having achievements on FoG2 and FoGE might have pushed me over the fence into buying them. Unfortunately a lot of grognard games seem to scoff at such things, along with moving away from graphics that were frankly stodgy even 20 years ago (looking at you, Gary).

I noticed that the weekly sale banner uses the Panzer Corps logo but neither Panzer Corps Gold or Panzer Corps 2 are on sale.

Yes, I did a few months back and I couldn't get my wired Xbox 360 controller to work properly. I had a quick search around the net for solutions but couldn't find any that worked for me, so I had to give up.

Steam is killing me atm ever since i had to buy a wired xbox one controller ( from pnp )
changing integrated steam controller support on and off per game. All the x-com's for example won't do with support enabled as does Doom 3, Death or alive on the other hand and Grim Dawn require you to enable the support else things will handle quite different, keys jumping around and such..

anyways War... Order of Battle is recommended, ancestors legacy felt quite stupid but maybe me failing the first level probably because i refused to use group tactics on my 3 vikings did the trick of the general feeling of the game during the start.... Blackguards your typical schwarz eye tactical shit...

maybe i get some of those brother in arms game... games seem to look bareable with integer scaling i just reconfirmed with homeworld emergence!

Oh and don't forget
the signature grand stratetgy title total war shogun 2 is free for grabs this week over at steam

That's too bad. It seems weird to have a flying game with no Xbox 360 controller support. But thanks for the info about the game.
