Was it worth your time? You found the setup of your dreams? Did GoG manage to surprise you? I know i was surprised with not 1 but 2 forum suspensions ;p
Ah well, Life!

Why i'm doing this? I kinda felt the need for a "watchadoin post in '24 ! it seems the usual suspects steered clear this year.
Maybe cause all of the wrong doin's this year.
Failing titles, industry coming apart. Customer trust at an all-time low. Toxic environments everywhere, Ever increasing signs of an increasing elite culture. Shadow of War.... you name it, we got it. At least the threat of death through virus or bacteria seemed to have gone done a little.

On a personal level, focus GoG and Gaming it was quite all right. Nothing spectacular new on the Horizon. I'm still for the most part a pre-2020 gamer and probably will be for the coming years or so.
Therefore, my choices are almost similar to 2023. Cyberpunk 2077, Warhammer 3, Rogue Trader and Cities 2.
Yea i know, boring...

But also quite good!
They got me in Noita you know, go and try daily practice run they said, it never stopped, running daily : )
From games I bought this year (for the first time or again) and enjoyed(already played) are:
Far Cry, Inkulinati, Ballance, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, A Tower Full of Cats, Baldur's Gate 2 Complete (BGT), Settlers 3, The Settlers 4, Quake, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Book of Demons, Carrion, Cats Hidden in Georgia, (Travelling Cats), Anomaly Defenders, FoxTail, Arcade Paradise... . and with the last one was a strange thing. Instead of playing that game, I only watched the trailer and started to design and create dedicated furniture.
Reality is. Have a good year of 2025! There is no shame in the good memo.
I appreciate all gifted games and trying/playing them (or will try) with the greatest care. Thank you for an outstanding year, Everyone.

I bought a Ryzen 5700X3D as a christmas gift for myself. That was very nice.

As for what I've been gaming this past year.. started out with a good meal of 70-80 hours (Like A Dragon: IW). Briefly tried Tekken 8 which released on the same day, but ragequit very fast. Then my cousin showed me Persona, and yeah.. that's where all the hours went after that. Working my way through 5 Royal now.

Who needs real life when you can roleplay it in Persona? ;)

Well, to be frank, I've lately been wondering that if we could levitate, would we call ourselves birds, instead of humans?

Something to think about during the dark cold winter nights!
GOG? No. But I did buy Balatro elsewhere. Their loss!
2024 was the reemergence of the one and only Pootie Tang himself straight out da Seppatown. As he says, "Ain't come one, but many tine tanies!" Basically, he gots to say na nay no! See, my damie, Pootie Tang don't wa-da-tah to the shama cow... 'cause thats a cama cama leepa-chaiii, dig?

It was a year like many from the past, but also very different.

So we had the usual good and bad, perhaps differing only in specifics.

The year was perhaps over too quickly, but some days didn't pass by quickly enough, and others passed by far too soon.

The year just re-affirmed for me, like other recent years, that getting old is rarely fun ... though many things are still quite enjoyable.

I loved and were loved, and that is perhaps the best one can hope for each year.

Personal growth can of course vary from year to year, depending on what life throws at you or your existence allows, and 2024 was no exception.

I probably acquired more than I lost, except for memories maybe.

I certainly don't regret 2024 ... and it was a good reading year for me ... and great being a grandfather ... and father etc.

So I feel blessed with more positives than negatives.

So in short 2024 could have been worse, could have been better, but was great enough, considering.

I got some great games too, that I am yet to play.

Well, maybe he's someone who amasses DRM-free games for his children/grandchildren/other relatives of his! That's a noble purpose too!

Noooo, we would call ourselves human mages! Lesser mages, of course, until we would be able to summon dragons!
"Cackles" got exiled to the dog kennel with "Shrillary" where they can both attempt to deny the reality that they both belong there, permanently muzzled.

I've had an account before, but I can't be bothered to retrieve it.
