I started playing the original Resident Evil yesterday, while it was still 2024. Continued on today. Very cool game. It's about time I played the one that started it all.

Fun fact: the purchase of the Resident Evil trilogy bundle stood for 68% of my total spending on GOG in 2024. Impressive.

2024 gaming wise was pretty stellar. I rejoined GOG after a long hiatus and also got back in to gaming after a three year absence due to some intense stress regarding real life. Absolutely having a blast jumping back in to Civ III, AdventureQuest, and Morrowind.

2024 in itself was okay (I reckon my retrospective on it will improve with time) in that I started taking up hiking, saw Iron Maiden in concert (you had a good run Nicko, shame it couldn't have been longer), saw Horizon: An American Saga/Alien: Romulus/North by Northwest in theaters, and picked up a lot of good books (mostly on history).

Only major cons are I've been prepping for a large move coming up this spring and have been working 2-3 jobs but I really needed the money since the economy is in the gutter.

Levitate and not just flying? Let's do this! Gravity-proof vessels exist; I saw one when I was a kid; kids are sober.
Someone said we are better than angels in the eyes of our parents. Maybe we do have a green light (in the sky) : )

In 2024 I discovered Lutris. After watching one tutorial on YouTube, I was able to run my favorite Windows games under Linux.
