Two Worlds II; I'm enjoying it so far but busy-work and repetitive quests are dragging it down. And geeze, that voice acting ...
Constructor, Platformance(s) from Indie Royale and some Commandos
just bought Street Fighter X Tekken... to me it's a breath of fresh air since i don't know any of the tekken characters. haven't tried the online mode yet.... hope it runs without lag.
and i'm in the mood for a good old rpg, but still can't decide which one to play first. will be either Lands of Lore, Might & Magic 7 or Ishar

Just bought deus ex, HR, Legacy of Kain soul reaver, xcom, and final fantasy 13.

loving final fantasy the most, but witcher is probably better from the old games i bought a long time ago. that and arcania gothic 4.
Fallout 1, mainly. I played it halfway a while ago and then accidentally killed my saves. I recently finished my first New Vegas playthrough, so I thought it'd be a good time to go back and play it again. Great game. Looking forward to playing the second. :)

Oh, and I just got Civ3 on GamersGate. But the Civ games are definitely not known for consuming lives, so it's all good. *Cough* >.>
Gabriel Knight Sins of The Fathers
Loving it, have hardly gotten any sleep the last few days. But I've gotten quite so stuck on a puzzle recently that I'm thinking of testing out the Quest For Glory games in the meantime while pondering on this puzzle..

Resonance of Fate
Global Resistance (Resistance 3 Tie In Flash game)
After completing Halo 2, and testing out a few newer games (very nice title music in Crysis 2, by the way), I got back to Dungeon Keeper: Deeper Dungeons extra missions.

Still stuck in the second(?) Deeper Dungeons extra mission, I think. I've been stuck in that for so long. Basically the problem is that the two enemy keepers are allowed to raise many more monsters than me, so how on earth exactly am I supposed to beat them? On head to head combat, their bigger army decimates mine.

But still, somehow I was able to beat one of them, the green Keeper. Ok so I send my army to him, and sure enough, I lose all my 15 precious 10th level monsters, but at least I am able to cause some losses to him too.

Then I just start spamming the enemy area by creating new 1st level imps, just because I happen to have loads of gold in reserve with no idea how else to spend it. While they die fast whenever they get into contact with the enemy 10th level monsters, somehow I am able to convert enemy rooms to my side one by one, as if the enemy doesn't care that much anymore even if I do that. Enemy monsters mostly just hang around their sleeping quarters while my feeble imps convert their rooms just next door. And before I know it, I am already next to their dungeon heart, so I can drop a few of my fresh 1st level monsters there to destroy it. Winnage!

But the other keeper still remains, and it seems to be harder (I think it can even create vampires, yikes!). Let's see if the same imp-spamming tactic works there. Probably not, I fear that lots of imp bodies in his quarters will just accelerate his vampire-production.

But god damn that game progresses slowly! Now I am waiting several hours (real time) just so that I can train my fresh recruits to 10th level, and amass 300000+ gold so that I can keep creating new imps and maybe some cave-in spells at the enemy monsters. It seems that 90% of the Dungeon Keeper gameplay is mere waiting! Is there some gameplay speed-up button I've missed? I don't think I saw one in the manual. The game would seriously need one.

Dang, I think I could play and finish Baldur's Gate on the side while I'm waiting for my Dungeon Keeper monsters to train and get enough gold...

Woohoo I finally got through the second Dungeon Keeper: Deeper Dungeons mission! The stupid imp-spamming tactic worked for the green enemy keeper too.

First I accumulated like 1 000 000 gold, trained 100 (yes, one hundred!) imps to level 10, and then approached the enemy keeper base from the west side. While my small 15 monster army valiantly fought the much bigger enemy army, I tried to lure my imps to make a secret tunnel in the very south part of the map, a detour to enemy's dungeon heart room. I kept losing imps like there's no tomorrow (especially when they wandered back to enemy instead of concentrating on digging the damn tunnel), but I just kept buying fresh level 1 imps to continue to work.

Eventually I reached the dungeon heart, it was shock full of traps but I just kept pumping new imps into it to replace the ones constantly dying in the traps. After awhile I took all my remaining bigger monsters and dropped them to the dungeon heart, they started hitting it.

Enemy AI started acting stupid and didn't seem to mind I was destroying their dungeon heart. so in no time I won. Hollow victory, I almost feel like I cheated.

I don't kinda like the Deeper Dungeons missions that much, because they all seem to include lots of quirks and restrictions to make the levels more challenging. Like you can invoke only a very small number of monsters (while your enemies have 2-3x more monsters), you are very restricted on what rooms or spells you can create, etc. It seems every new level is more and more of that.

It's not that fun anymore, but let's see... Maybe it just goes to show a flaw in the original DK gameplay, ie. if you have all the same abilities as your enemies, you'll always win easily by just turtling in (especially as the enemy seems to be unable to use the spell to break your reinforced walls, like you can), raising big enough army, and swarming the enemy base. I don't know if Dungeon Keeper 2 is the same, I've played it only a bit so far.

Zeus and Pharaoh
Played some City of Heroes yesterday. It was my favourite MMO, and unfortunately it's closing, so I figured I'd dedicate some of my limited gaming time to experiencing some parts of it that I haven't yet and will never have a chance again.
I've been playing:
Star wars: mysteries of the sith and can't for the love of me get the music files working :(
Banjo-Tooie. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the corner, nostalgiagasming all over myself.
Been playing a bit of age of wonders 1.

It's like master of magic made dull..

(and no nostalgia at stake : i discover both games at the same time)
