Radiance1979: completely missed out on your mention! David Weber ( and co writers ) created quite the galaxy with his books, if your into space opera/military type of reads you can get your thing going quite well in their creations
Siobhan Dunmoore ... there you have it
Green_Hilltop: How do you like the Dunmoore books? They are by a different author though.
I heard good things about Honorverse.
i bought a whole bunch of weber books on a book convention, if my memory serves me correct all of those books had Weber on them but i could be wrong, there in the cellar atm so hard to check, according to a search on the internet it should be Eric Thomson which also sounds quite right. But yea, there is almost little to no distinction between for example the popular David Weber & Steve White collaboration Stars at War and sequel and the honor harrington novels in the literary style.
Maybe it was hard to distinguish because i read all of them in English, since for example last year i read a set of novels belonging to different Canadian based writers, 3 of them , which all could fit in that same jacket... Maybe they are to young for a distinct style yet copying Weber unconsciously or just writing in a manner that fits/they like
