Which version to used too there 64bit and 32bit?

I haven't downloaded that in years. I download VLC player, and it brings all the codecs with it. I suppose that's my answer.

Whatever for? As wpegg said, I haven't messed with codecs ever since I ditched WMP way back in the 2000s.

Because windows 10 doesn't include the needed codec for old games which causes issue with some audio files and appears that installing K-lite codec and cccp should fix issue like ambient music stutter.

If you need the most compatible version to fix problems with old games as you say, that would be the 32-bit version. I don't recall if you can install both versions side by side without one conflicting with the other.

Also, either you install CCCP or K-Lite, but not both. K-Lite also includes far more stuff than CCCP, which may or not be needed for your particular issues, so it's worth a look if CCCP is just not enough.

actually, TBH, the CCCP download the THREE YEARS OLD (in October). Go to codec-guide.com and install probably the mega pack. Get x64 build

Just a question: What obscure games are you playing that require these obscure codecs?

Some games like fallout 3 and new vegas Ambiant music is in .mp3 format 44100 Hz 32 bits which doesn't playing nicely with windows 10 because it is missing the needed codec to play them properly so it cause the music to stutter.
