For quite some time I've been requested to do GOG updates and the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable over and over again. I don't get any error message, but the next time I start GOG Galaxy again the procedure starts again too.

I tried running it with administrator rights. No change.

I did install the Redistributable now by searching, downloading and installing it as a standalone feature. I restarted the PC and when I start GOG Galaxy it is acting like nothing had changed.

I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.

Why do I have to repeat thos process over and over again?

You'll probably be requested to report it in Mantis.

Yes, report it to mantis.gog.com and upload all of the Galaxy Client logs located in C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs please:)

You can skip the gog_galaxy_beta_2 forum then.

I'll remember that next time.
It might be useful though just so that others know they're not the alone when experiencing that issue.
I reported it to mantis.gog.com and added all 6 log files. I am now going to put it into the beta thread too.
Thanks for helping me here.
I will wait for you to work on it.

Currently I don't know if it is caused by some local settings on my PC or by something wrong on your side.
I'll just wait for the issue to been solved or explained.

I'm fairly sure someone else reported the same thing a few days ago so I imagine it's a bug.

Something similar at least.
Well. At least I consider this thread to be answered. Thus I choose it to be "solved".
It's sufficient to keep it open as a bug report.

Maybe this thread serves as an information for other users with similar problems.

As a second PC in my posession shows a similar behaviour, I tend to believe it might be a real problem.
We will have to wait and see. My information and the logs provided should yield some clues for the troubleshooters. And I will give any information available to me and requested for dealing with the problem.
