I believe we (the human race) has always been dumb/stupid. It's just now we have more freedom to show and express it, especially since eliminating most all of our known enemies (apart from ourselves), but that is still a work in progress...

1. If it was genuine I apologize. The wording and it's relation to the title threw me off a bit.

2. I got a bit upset because you/amok are rambling back and forth offtopic instead of adding to the thread topic in a constructive fashion while using crude wordplay. I understandably got a bit hot under the collar as a result, as one might expect.

Question: If you made a thread and people came in & began to reply in such a fashion would you be happy with it?

Also there are many others here who are much more "terrible" than I am considered to be(like others here who post borderline porn in people's threads including those of a religious nature.....just to upset those they dislike...including those who adhere to a particular religion))

Well, first of all modern technology has allowed stupidity to express itself in bigger and better ways. but it was always there, just kept in check more.

It's a good question and first of all I would tell anyone interested in the subject to watch the film Idiocracy if you haven't already. It explains it well. There has always been incredibly stupid people and stupidity is to some extent hereditary- stupid parents are far more likely to have and raise stupid children. So whilst the elite of humanity is getting smarter and faster and stronger- the average is actually evolving backwards instead, becoming stupider, fatter, slower.

This has resulted in a fatal imbalance in the human race due to the nature of human socialism. Socialism has taken upon itself to protect and keep alive the stupid, the weak and sick instead of leaving them to be culled the way nature intends. The problem is that these are also the most likely to breed. This continues until it becomes untenable and humanity collapses and enters a dark age to cull the deadwood and start again. We've passed the point of no return for this cycle and the above is now mathematical certainty, the only variable being the time frame. This cycle will continue until humanity realises a cold hard truth- you cannot have socialism coupled with unrestricted breeding.

Let me tell you a story. Just the other day I was walking to my local shopping mall and stopped at the traffic lights. That's when this car pulls up at the lights with big expensive alloy wheels on the front and small steel hubs on the back (for doing better burnouts you see). Two fat idiots lean out the front windows and yell to me "how's it going faggot?''. I was about to patiently explain to them that I wasn't actually homosexual and that I actually think males are hideously ugly and repulsive, when I noticed in the back seat was two fat girls that couldn't even be older than 17, each with a fat kid on their lap, laughing at the wit of their boyfriends whilst filming on their cameras. The lights changed to green off they drove, still leaning out the window abusing me, and promptly drove into the back of the car in front that had correctly stopped to give way to pedestrians. Now extend that story to the bulk of humanity.

I think the answer is that people have always been stupid. Throughout history there have been people dying for stupid reasons. Perhaps you've heard of the Darwin Awards? I think it has much less to do with cellphones and more to do with people sometimes not thinking. Like the joke about US landmines having "do not eat" on them.

A lot of times people are stupid, and sometimes they also roll a 1.
