If it will, I won't buy it on steam.
It will, I can tell.

But you may not be around by that time... as in very long time.
Not likely at release. What I do hope is that we get CK2 with all DLCs for a normal price like $10 or so.

I don't know why the negativity, Imperator was available for preorder, as was Planetfall. Paradox don't seem to shun GOG for their new releases nowadays.

Personally though, I'm just hoping for CK2 at a sensible price for a discontinued game (30 eurobux on sale would do it). I doubt CK3 is going to have some amazing new feature that will make me skip CK2 on GOG.

Well, it depends. On many things in particular.
We don't even have CK2 yet.

Except when underwater, or if someone farted. ESPECIALLY if someone farted underwater!
We have the latest Paradox Development Studio, Stellaris and Imperator (the later since day one). Crusader Kings II used to have a DRM-version, then Paradox shut it down and went Steam-only, but that won't necessarily be the case for the third.
To be honest here for once,

CKIII is going to be half-baked DLC-platform on release. And it will take years before the game will be relatively playable.

And with each DLC they release (and there will be an ocean of DLC for this game) there's going to be a ton of bugs, and they wont be able to fix all bugs before next DLC(because they care more about making DLC, rather than fix the bugs).

And so the game will never be playable, until they stop mass-producing DLC and hopefully fix the game in the end. But I don't think they will, because it's profitable to work on another game rather then fixing the old one.

Because Paradox is all about money in the end of the day.

I've been playing paradox games since the old Knights of Honor. I've seen them being great devs, and slowly with time becoming the biggest crooks the game industry have ever seen. Making even EA look nice and cute and puffy and pink.

As much as I love history and games like this, supporting Paradox of today is like supporting cancer!
Even the objectively terrible Microsoft Store is going to have it at release. :/

Mmm, fart-flavored water. You should sell that!

The company behind La Croix beat them to it.
If you don't see any preorder here within the coming two months, I'd doubt about it.
