Thanks, creating a batch file and redirecting the shortcut to it makes sense. Clever!
I had to modify your method slightly to make it work. I put the batch file in \DOSBOX\ and reduced the initial instruction to just "DOSBOX.exe" plus additional parameters. I also had to leave the shortcut at default settings, ie "Normal window" and WITHOUT running as Administrator.
Again, thanks. This is a very simple workaround. About 10 mouse clicks and you have a working start menu shortcut.
