With 700+ games discounted up to 90% off, daily special Bundle Deals, a constant stream of exciting Flash Sales, and some fantastic surprise giveaways, we launch into the season of gaming joy!

The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
How is Journey of a Roach? Is it as novel as it looks? I understand Journey of a Roach is short but wouldn't object vor ~$2. Recommended or no? Thanks in advance for any impressions.

I started it and checked it out for just a few minutes before getting into another game, so I'm really not much help here.

But you can walk on the ceiling. That's probably good enough for the buy. :)

IAmSinistar: Looks like this sale is going to get my GOG shelf to hit the magic 500 purchases at last. I hope there is an Eschalon bundle deal so that I get rid of my copies from inferior vendors. But even if not I'll get them during the sale at their already-generous half-off price.
Wow, you've got 485 GOG games already, that's impressive! You only joined in May 2013 too? Holy smokes! :) I've got a way to go to catch up to your level of GOGlitude hehehe.
i see stuff on sale in the catalog, which is not on the front page. is this intentional?
stuff like, the might and magic series and arcanum steamworks.
is this stuff going to appear on the front page tomorrow, etc?

looks like the whole gothic series is like this as well

oh ok, i looked at my wish list and reread the announcement, i understand now. the stuff
on the front page are the special special deals,
there is tons of non featured deals available through searching the catalog, around 50 percent
off.

ok cool.

Thanks and +1 to both.
I'll think about it, because I'm already going to spend 10$ if I also get King's Bounty 2.

Aye, but my "purchased to played" ratio is still pretty bad. It's getting better though, as I spend more time playing and have given up on most bundles and vendors other than GOG. :)

Fredd38: Fingers crossed for 75% on Witcher 3.
I doubt that will happen, but there's always a possibility of a small freebie promo for a new game that is coming out. Some game companies do that occasionally, but it would probably be closer to release or after release than 9 months ahead of time. ;o) Perhaps they'll do a "buy 50 games during the summer sale promo and get The Witcher 3 pre-release free!" promo. ;)

Yeah, mine is too. I'm not totally sure what my ratio looks like for GOG games as nothing keeps track of it yet but hopefully GOG Galaxy adds support for that also. :)

Damn, I set myself a limit of $6.00 per game, I would have gladly broken it for The Last Federation if it was 9.99. If it comes back and I haven't spent too much then I'll get it.

Resil: It will last until 30th of June :)
Holy crap! I've been more or less only paying slight attention to all the sales going on out there on Steam, GMG, GG, etc. because I knew the GOG sale was coming up and didn't want to buy games elsewhere that came on sale here this time around. Looks like I'll have plenty of opportunities now! ;)

That would be interesting. I bet Galaxy could capture a number of interesting metrics, not all of which are solely for the sake of evil marketing. :) If it does build a profile of your played games, I'll have to replay some of the ones I finished just to get the data in there. :D
Cool sale---one wishlist entry already gone the first day:
The new TexMurphy---glad to picked it up!
Anyone else having trouble using paysafecard on GOG right now? Or am I just having a particulary unfortunate friday 13th today...

[Edit] Nvm, solved by the quick GOGsupport :)

I was firm at 50% off on that one too.... May see if it pops up on Steam (I know, I know..not DRM-free). If same or close deal, I will try for this when it gets around later..

Corwim: did run into a technical error while paying, that was a first, but my order went through the second time, hope I was only charged once...
avatar
budejovice: Just an FYI to everyone. I've seen several messages about errors while paying. I got one myself.

Before attempting to re-buy, check your email or your shelf. When I got my error, the games were immediately on my shelf and there was an email in my inbox immediately as well.

Of course, if you're double-charged there won't be a problem when you contact support, but if you check first you may be able to skip a step.
Hi Budejovice! Thanks for the heads up! :-) I did quickly check my game shelf, and the games weren't there, so I immediately retried cause that counter for the Witcher 2 deal was almost up, and I didn't want to miss it. :-) Just checked my emails, and there's just the one of the my second order. Still, I'll keep an eye on my next Visa bill when it comes in, and write to customer support then if necessary. And double check my shelf and email if the error should recur during this sale. Thanks again for the tips!

Hahahaha, I was thinking the *exact* same thing. LOL I just bought Rune Classic for $1.99 to have the GOG version even though I have a Steam copy already. Just couldn't pass it up to have it on GOG. I'd rather GOG Galaxy track my hours spent in it too. :)
