FearfulSymmetry: I thought the sale was pretty good. It was a bit slow at times with the repeating flash deals, but I managed to grab quite a few awesome games, and the bundles were really nice as well.
^ this.

I'm a little too hyper or used to the insomnia sales I guess, but this one, while the prices were great, and I bought a lot, moves a bit slow for me. Maybe if they had ran 5 or so flashes at a time, or popped in some type of short term giveaways on several days instead of one?

korell: Hmm, it is possible that I mixed it up with another sale, but I'm sure i saw the games as a bundle and not separately. Maybe it was the Steam Summer Sale where I saw it?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Can't help you with that, I neither follow nor care about Steam sales.

avatar
tfishell: Frankly I'm glad it's over; I'd like to get back to seeing some new releases.

HypersomniacLive: Missed grumping? ;-P

I actually took some time to search for an interesting one so you better be grateful for it you ungrateful shit.

Also, if there are any Bethesda or id games you'd buy if they came to GOG, make sure you contact them - http://www.gog.com/forum/general/bethesdaidzenimax_contact_thread

Drerhu: IMHO, a better sale than Steam´s sale : ) (so I hope next season sales would be similar, please!)

And thank you for the freebies! (I only catch the attention about Omerta, but what were the other two games? :o)
Magrunner: Dark Pulse, Still Life 2, Torchlight and Alan Wake: American Nightmare

IronArcturus: How are the Rayman games? Do they work well on Windows 7? Can an Xbox 360 controller work with Rayman 1-3?
avatar
haydenaurion: Rayman 1 works fine cause it's a DOSBox game. Rayman 2 works on my Win 7 64 bit PC, but you'll have to try and find the right GPU driver as some of the drivers prevent the game from working at all. Rayman Origins has a nasty save corrupting bug that can occur randomly and was never fixed, make copies of your save files often and hope it works. I can't speak for Rayman 3 as I don't have it.

Xbox 360 controllers work fine for Rayman 1, Origins and I think 2 (can't remember).
Wow, I've never heard of that Rayman Origins save bug. Is that listed in the GOG forums? Is there really no way to fix it?

Drakeer: On other news, can I ask for the background of today sales to put as a new wallpaper for my computer?

I wouldn't mind to have a gog.com logo in a corner of the image.
I'm no graphic artist, but using the image Randoo provided... where you thinking of something like the attached file?

Yeah, I'm not a designer neither but I tried to put the logo on the ship's sail and it is amateur but good enough to me hehe

Many people have problems with gamepads and Rayman 1 (including me), check the game forums for more info.
I hope Blackguards comes up on a flash sale. I can't remember if there was one earlier or not. I think it was.

I will assume that the torture of the two weeks sale that you endured has gotten the better of you and leave it at that as you apparently can't take a tease and needed to resort to foul language.

Have a nice day.
So... Banished was a red herring, then?

It is part of the flash sales but hasnt been seen since Thursday, so should be due pretty soon. Sale price is $14.99.
I must resist those bundle deals . Wanted to buy books instead of GOG games . (;_・)
GOG is making it very difficult to not buy games. I promised myself I was done after day one! :P

/returns to staring at Cognition, hoping it will disappear before willpower crumbles
This was a good sale :)
I hope that Wizardry 8 comes up again. I've waited for the last day but there was nothing interesting on steam sale so I have still some money.
