Difficult to say, I work on the internet, but just to upload my articles and reports to the magazine I work for. But I can set my schedule more freely.
And I work on a laptop, so I have some time frame.

Maybe I use the outages to finally deepen my knowledge of Japanese ;)

I am more concerned about embassies calling back citizens to their countries.
I am married to a Japanese. But I won´t ever leave on my wife my on free will.

In Tokyo you are still more lucky because it´s getting wamer, already. Still fresh enough during the night.
Up North, Honshu, Hokkaido etc. it´s still SNOWING! And the people in most Evak Camps need to get by without much heating.

I am shocked by this catastrophe.

My best wishes to all people hit by those terrible catastrophes in japan. i hope it does not get any worse then it is now. May God or the driving force of the universe prevent a nuclear disaster of abnormal proportions in your country.

Tokyo is warmer than Gunma in the winter. Although, we're warmer in the summer. It's that whole barrier of mountains around us and the open space in between and the afore-mentioned kita-kaze.

But yeah, those in the evac camps are worse off, but even if there were no power difficulties, they'd still be in the same situation as schools are so tight with their power/heating even in the best of times.

With three of Fukushimas reactors needing cooled with sea water and the increasing rumors of meltdowns, im left wondering what radius would they wipe out if they did blow.

Dont get me wrong, i pray it doesnt happen but i am curious what an estimate would be.

Was lucky to be where I am. The Kanagawa area was spared any hardships minus the blackout on the day of the quake.

Please say a prayer for those in the north part of Japan for their family and friends.

That's genuinely nice to hear, that the trouble is localized to the north. It's strange to say that given the circumstances, still.

It isn't though. While the majority of the damage is in the north and the Tsunami was localized to the north, there are further reaching effects. Right now in our area, we face the possibility of "rolling blackouts" (we should be in one right now, but TEPCO still haven't made their minds up) -- thus while we have power, work has still ground to a halt as we can't risk losing any to sudden power outage. We also now face a food shortage and gasoline has all but complete run out.

We are also being warned that it is likely that a strong quake will affect this region within the next 3 days. That could prove a problem for any buildings in this area that have already been structurally weakened in the major quake on Friday.

And with that said, my room has started shaking again.

Erm.......I'm not sure if I should run to the telly and flip on the news or you'll be back soon with a report....hopefully the latter.

As for the gasoline shortage, I don't think I would want to leave my house anyway. I would hope most jobs are giving everyone mandatory holiday until this gets settled.

Nah, turned out to be just a very long running slow weak tremor. problem with those is you never know when or if they will gain intensity. Before Friday, I'd have just dismissed it, but that seems a bit foolish to do now given the warnings.

As for mandatory holidays? Not in Japan. Never. Unless you're actually in a heavily damaged area and it simply isn't possible to go to work as the building isn't standing anymore.

Yup, and as a tacit rule, if they have paid vacations, they will make sure not to take them all and to return early to the office.

Ryu ga gotoku Of The End has had it's Thursday's release canceled. SEGA now stating that they will reconsider releasing in the future.

Zettai Zetsumei 4 has been permanently canceled by Irem. Despite the fact that the game is near complete and was supposed to have been released on the 10th. Why they couldn't have just delayed it, is beyond me.

A bit too close to home, perhaps? The fact that it was supposed to be released on the 10th seems a bit prophetic in a way.
