Hey all!
I was told by a freind that this was a great community and a good place to ask around:
My freind (your very own Cryxo!) and I would like to try our hand at a little Starcraft 2 casting, as we were inspired when we had to compare (present) a 4 hour talent show! We didn't want to do the typical thing of just finding some pro-match replays and casting them, but rather have some fun, live games from lower level players in a tournament format.

We would like to host this tournament on the 17th of March at around 5 BST (British Standard time). The time is not yet fnalised but around then we think is good. This will be streamed live and archived

Depending on turnout it will either be a Ro8 with Bo1matches (finals and 3rd place will be Bo3) or a R04 with Bo3 matches for everyone. We don't want this to drag on too long!

Unfortunately we can only take European players as we only have European accounts, but if anyone is interested that would be great! We will choose players with a roughly simlar skill level!!! So if the majority are bronze league, we will have a bronze league tournament (so don't be worried if you are not highly skilled!)

Unfortunately I only have a US account so can't join but post the stream URL here and I'll watch it for sure.

Another option would be using the Starter edition of SC2 but that has map limitations.

Ermm, we did do another streaming attempt with our own games, but those are extremely difficult to cast as we already knew the results! it was more of a test, so don't worry about the video already there :P

What is the starter edition? (I have never come across it), is it up to date or just the beta build?

They replaced the demo with it. To my understanding, it's the full game but it locks some stuff away (at least the download is huge). You can play multiplayer custom games on a few maps as terran (AI players are Easy only). People with the full game can join starter edition servers, and they can play as other races. Those matches are kind of bad, since the starter edition guys most likely don't know what they're doing while the others sort of do.

Thanks for the quick response! I don't think using the starter edition would be wise unfortunately, as it would constricts some of the better SC2 maps (only shattered temple is really any good), and i'm not sure if Cryxo would be cool with downloading Starcraft 2 again! :P

Unfortunately we didn't manage to get enough players together...and the problem with Team Liquid is it has a 3 day block for new users which we didn't know about! :P

We would still like to stream however, and to use a replay pack. If any of you have had a good Bo5 or Bo7 with a freind and saved it, we'd love to stream that! As i said before, we don't care about skill, it's just about having a fun time.

We will be streaming at 5:30 today (March 17th) BST (British Standard Time) - sorry this is short notice, but i forgot last night :S
