If you get a refund, do you still keep the game, or is it removed from your collection?

I can't imagine why you'd be allowed to be in possession of a game you didn't pay for, even if it doesn't work on your current system...

Why would you think that you would keep the game if you got the refund?

Maybe because your issue might be solved in the future, for example with a patch, if many other users are affected by the same issue.

So in effect that you would somehow get the game for free? Doubtful.

That's like getting a DVD that is incompatible with your player, requesting a refund, but also asking that you get to keep the DVD in case you later buy a player that is compatible. It's not how things work. If it doesn't work you send it back and get a refund. If at a later date you are suddenly able to use the product, you buy it again.

In your defense that happened to me once with a game. I bought it off Amazon and when I got it the cd was scratched and unplayable. The vendor IMMEDIATELY refunded the full purchase and when I asked him if he wanted the disc back he replied, "What the hell am I going to do with it!?" :P

Thats different than a digital download that cannot be scratched.

Well, he could shove it down the throath of the provider ;)
