The Longest Journey is my favorite adventure game! It's just awesome!

SimonG: No love for Chains of Satinav?

Very nice game (although I am biased because of the TDE setting).

What I find especially great, and what you hardly see in those games, is different ways to solve a puzzle. I haven't really paid much attention to adventures in general, so maybe I'm just late for the party, but the option of solving puzzles in different, logical ways, is really something.

Oopsy, sorry. I did actually use my browsers search, but knowing my spelling issues I probably searched for "Sativan".

And that is a freakishly long list ;-P!

No worries, lol. I posted the game because I didn't see anyone post it actually, and it IS quality. :P I know, I tend to do that when people ask for advice on things. I'm Canadian, we usually known for freakishly long things...oh wait...that sounds bad...
you can argue with those kind of lists but at least they always mention some good games to start with:

by clicking each game you get a brief description to see if it would fit your tastes
btw. Are Alter Ego and Mata Hari good games? There is a adventures bundle on Gala Store, but I don't know if they are good games or pieces of crap...

Yes, awesome list ! I was precisely about to suggest Portal and Portal 2 ! They're my favorite adventure games, along with Doom 3 and IL-2 Sturmovik !

I wouldn't say they are "pieces of crap", but on the other side they're nothing exceptional. Just an average P&C games. ;)

Is there any chance that Black Mirror games will come to GOG?

Oh God! Gog definitely needs a lot more adventure games! Look at that games.
What kind of wickedness "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream!" is. I want that game!

Elmofongo: I have to tell the truth I never played an adventure game (the Grim Fandango/ Resonance kind)

And GOG has plenty but I don't know which to pick. The only one that sparked my interest is the upcoming Primordia.

Alas Recommendations?
Play Indigo Prophecy. You will love that game.

My recommendations from the ones GOG has:

Gabriel Knight trilogy (well I haven't played the 3rd one myself yet, but hear good things)
All the Wadjet Eye games (haven't played Primordia myself yet, but hear good things)
Broken Sword trilogy
Machinarium
Beneath a Steel Sky
Teenagent (keep walkthrough handy)
Syberia series
So is Primordia awesome? is it the best story Wadjet games made so far?

No Spoilers

(Gonna get it today)

I really enjoyed the game and its atmosphere/style. Also, it's probably best not to compare it with other Wadjet Eye games, since they're mostly developed by different people.

Anyway, it's definitely worth picking up if you like sci-fi and adventure games (if you don't, then this is a bad thread to be in...)
