Aatami: Demo was alright. I hope the finished product isn't like this, though. Really. The way they implemented the Predators weapons were awkward. Maybe i'm missing something, but whats wrong with the traditional "switch to the weapon you want to use" aspect?

I have no idea how to use predator weapons :P

Exactly :P I don't know either. I accidentally threw the Preds spear one time. I'm reinstalling to see if I can solve this conundrum. :\

Anyhow, from the first impressions, i see most negatives can be explained by the fact that this demo is.. old. ;)
Some people complain that You can't quit the kill animation.. That's a good thing actually, nothing better than running from an armed Pred, and facing an Alien chewing on Your mate, and that chewing, is not a scripted event but a [scripted] animation of a fellow player.:)
Hell, i got too excited over this game.. ;(

I'll just wait and see. Because there's such difference between loving it or hating it, I have no clue whether I'll like it, so I'll just wait.

No Ducking is the stupidest thing i ever heard.. and the original game was amazing, the Mp aspect was an afterthought and thats WHY it was so fun, don't make the game for MP, focus on the 3 intertwined stories and then just released some badass Mp modes and a crap load of maps.. there was never balance, it was insanity and that's WHY it was so much fun...
I sank countless hours over 2 years playing AvP exclusivly at LAN's online or just co-op survival...

How did you use the plasma cannon or the discs? All I've done on the predator is melee things to death. I click say 3 for the discs but it doesn't put them into the predators hand, it just brings up a radial menu.

SInce i've pasted the controls, and they didn't do the trick... A blind guess, did You pick those weapons up?;)

A review is in and it's not good.
But frankly, the reviewer sounds like a pussy. He's complaining about some really stupid shit, e.g., that being able to climb walls as an alien is disorienting; e.g., the marine's flashlight isn't strong enough; e.g., the radar is stupid; e.g., the reviewer needs a good face-punch or two.
At least this means the price'll drop fast. :D

They haven't really made a game in a long, long time. Their last many failures were basically other companies' projects falling into their hands at the last second.

I don't believe the reviews of anyone who implies that the Predator movies were at all good for a second.

Yes I picked up the weapons, the only control I didn't figure out myself was focus mode, do you need to enter that to use ranged weapons on a predator?

Soooooo......
Someone found the M56 Smartgun in the game....
THEY CHANGED THE BLOODY SOUND OF IT.
While not a HUGE negative, it was one of the most memorable sounds next to the pulse rifle.

Each of the numbers (1-4) represents a weapon. When you pick a weapon up, you press the number to select one of the weapons. Then you press the middle mouse button.
