probably can't remove duplicates unless they do it manually. and it is not fault of some users who chose name already taken by accident.

Well, you can't create new one anymore, but they can't flat out delete existing ones. There can be legit accounts among them.

Why oh why did I pick my own username!!! I could be trolling as someone else! Now it just reflects badly on me.

At least having a clone is not terribly unfitting for you, considering where your avatar/title is from... :/
