Legend of Grimrock for linux is now available on Steam;

So, how come GOG doesn't have linux versions for the games that already have linux releases? I could understand if there were only a few games that were compatible but I am under the impression that there are quite a few games on GOG that already have linux versions working out there. Surely GOG is working on it, why is it taking so long?

I don't mean this to sound demanding, I am 90% windows based. I'm just really curious about this.

Because GOG doesn't do Linux at the moment.

There's no mystery here at all.

The why, that is the greatest mystery of all!

Can anyone think of problems in releasing games for linux that would slow down them adopting it?

PlayOnLinux Already has presets for a good majority of GOG games, I have had Zero issue getting anything to work on linux.

To be honest i get more games to run on linux though PlayOnLinux than i do in a virtual environment designed to simulate the default requirements of the game.

Cool, thanks for that. He does give quite a few decent reasons.

All of them have been refuted 1000 times.
