In case you have never TRIAD any of the Apogee proDUKEtions, let us explain: all hell will BLAKE loose for only half the price, only on GOG.com.
This weekend, GOG.com is offering a set of great action games from shooter-specialists Apogee Software. Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, Blake Stone: Planet Strike, and Rise of the Triad: Dark War cost only $2.99 for each and that means a lot of alien & mutant scum will kick the bucket during this weekend.
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a classic shooter created using the Wolfenstein 3D engine. As a British Intelligence space agent you will chase the evil Dr Pyrus Goldfire across 60 levels filled with aliens, scientists, and everything else you’d expect from a futuristic villain’s hideout. Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is only $2.99 this weekend on GOG.com. SPOILER ALERT: Dr Goldfire survives the game and returns in Blake Stone: Planet Strike to finally catch the maniac and stop his cosmic wrong-doings (for good? You’ll have to buy the game and find out, ‘cause we aren’t going to give away the ending of this one!). The second part offers the same good sci-fi awesomeness and is available for only $2.99.
Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition is one of the most legendary shooters ever, thanks to the eponymous Duke: he’s a wise-cracking, hyper-masculine tough guy with a taste for cigars, women, and alien-killing. The Atomic Edition is the most complete version of the game that includes the fourth bonus episode and new weapons and enemies. DN3D is an FPS every gamer should finish at least once, especially when it’s on sale for only $2.99. Groovy!
King Duke returns in Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. The game promises Total Mutant Mayhem and when Duke promises something like this, you can be sure he’ll bring some pipe bombs, a machine gun, a rocket launcher, and a pulse cannon to make sure he delivers. Blast aliens. Save Babes. Pay $2.99 for a whole lot of shootin’.
Rise of the Triad: Dark War is a 1995 Shareware Industry Award winner in Best Action/Arcade Game category, beating out other titles such as Descent and Heretic. As a member of H.U.N.T. (High-risk United Nations Task-force) you’re sent to investigate a strange cult on a remote island. Unluckily (for the cult) you have some awesome weaponry, like the drunk missile launcher, Excalibat and the Hand of God to blast your way through whoever is unwise enough to try to stop you. We definitely will not stop you from buying ROTT for only $2.99.
Visit the promo page and pick what you like best from the action set of Apogee games that are 50% off until Monday, March 19th at 11.59 a.m. EDT.
