On a side note, what has scared you?

For me it was my father. Me and my siblings (ages 8, 6, 5) were playing in our room as kids having a good ole time until we saw this light in the window flickering off and on. At first we were unsure as to what it was, all we could do was look at each other in puzzlement. Me and my brother edge over to he window and try to see what it is, and for some reason I yell "It's a giant eye!!!"
Pandemonium broke out after that. All I can really remember is everyone screaming and running down the hallway. My little sister was out if the room first, then me, and my older brother was out last. By the time we got to the living room my older brother had managed to run my sister and me over and make it there first. I come crawling out of the hallway all wide eyed and panting with my sister who's crying. My dad walks in the front door laughing like crazy carrying a flashlight, and once he can speak reminds is that we are not supposed to keep our blinds open.

Out blinds were always shut after that.
I'm in for Don't Starve. If I win it goes to myself.

What has scared me? I once thought that I lost my keys in the toilet when I was taking a shit but more recently I was frightened a bit by Divinity original sin 2 month wait. =)

Thank you.
In for Penumbra.

I am afraid of heights. The fact that I use glasses somehow makes it worse for me. Elevators always scare me :P
In for Don't Starve, for myself.

Dunno what to tell you, I don't recall the last time I was scared . Gaming-wise, Lone Survivor was the last game to make me jump a little, but that's not so much fear .
Not in! Nice giveaway, thanks Trenton - I actually jumped in because when I saw the thread title I knew exactly what game it was - Don't Starve - didin't realize there would be a second. Someone described it as "Tim Burton meets Animal Crossing" - that's exactly it and it's an oddly compelling game. Also, it appears it tracks every character death and the number of days they survived... I have a list full of people that have made it less than a week - I don't think I'm very good, but it's still fun!
In for Don't Starve for myself

Recently playing Knock Knock that I got from the sale has been scaring the pants off me. Great sound design, especially with headphones.
I'm in for Don't Starve, please!

Two days ago I was resting from handstand practice in my house, and saw that the lights turned brighter and darker. I wasn't worried about it, I thought that the lightbulbs were just working bad. After some minutes, I heard a super weird and loud sound that I hadn't heard before in my life and the room turned a lot darker. I got up, ran through the door, jumped over a couch with my super parkour skills and went downstairs as fast as I could. All of this lasted about 5 seconds, because I was really scared I moved like never before :p

The lightbulb stopped working, it was just that. But at the moment I was scared (well, I think that it was more of a shock, but still, it wasn't nice).

Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for the giveaway and +1 to you.

Nothing scares me anymore...
Nice giveaway! Not in, but thanks! :)

Your tale made me think about this: when I was a child, I outright invented dozens of horror stories, and laughed like there was no tomorrow every time someone got scared! When I was in elementary school (I don't know if this term is used worldwide, but you get the idea), there was this little wood near the main building, and sometimes we used to adventure there; based on my stories, everyone believed that inside it lived more monsters than you can find in a D&D manual! Every corner had its own... I remeber the most feared was the red-eyed lurker, hidden in a big bush - some children didn't even dare to approach it! The best part is that when we had to go on school trip we needed to pass from there to reach the bus, and seeing all those kids flattening on the other side of the path was so satisfyingly fun!

I came soooo close to buying that one throughout the sale but it was just one I never pulled the trigger on.

When i was young, we lived in an old farmhouse, built in the 1800s, the place was spooky looking enough, but it had been abandoned and our parents had only restored about 2/3 of the rooms. (so the others had torn out walls, hanging wallpaper, all the stuff of a kid's horror). One night while walking to the bathroom I saw what I still believe was a ghost. An older, elegant woman (or HALF of her, there was nothing below the waist) she was in the kitchen, and slowly turned to me as i ran through. I stopped dead when I saw her, and a moment later she just faded out.
I also had a tree that would scratch at my window during windy nights, much like the first Poltergeist movie (but this was the 70s)
Cool old house, drafty as hell though, but scary as shit to a kid!

In for Don't Starve (if you don't mind).

As for what's scared me... I'm kinda a fraidy cat. I'd like to play Alice: The Madness Returns, but I already know it'd give me nightmares.
I'm in for Don't Starve for myself and am looking out for this game for a while now.
Since I extremely enjoyed Notrium as a survival game, I wonder how it is.

Clowns always scared me and I wonder how anybody can find corpse paint and an unproportial face funny.

In for Don't Starve.
In for myself. :D

A few weeks ago I watched the Wizard of Oz sober for the first time in 20 years. I CANNOT believe they let kids watch that fucking thing! Jesus, I'm getting the chills just typing this! :O
I'd like to be in for Don't Starve as well, thanks!

Can't really recall what has scared me. Sometimes if I stare into my own eyes in the mirror I get that freaky tingling go down the back of my neck.
Other than that, as a kid, it was mostly just quickening my walk a bit in the dark.

I'm in for Don't Starve for Licurg. +1 for the giveaway!

For what has scared me:
Back in the 90s, playing the "Aliens TC" mod for id Software's DOOM with the lights turned out and the sound turned up, proceeding really slowly through the game until finally encountering an alien some 30-60 minutes after the game started. Very creepy game mod and it scared the crap out of me and my buddy, we woke up the neighbours. LOL

Then, about 6 months or so before DOOM 3 came out there was a developmental build of the game leaked on the Internet by an ATI employee which a friend brought over. Same thing, lights off, sound cranked, and after wandering around for a while this huge scary ass creature came pounding through a wall and ran right for me. I ran backwards and pulled the trigger like you would in real life until the gun was out of bullets, but I pushed my chair backwards too and it caught on something on the floor and I went flying off the chair backwards and smashed my head on the floor. I had a huge lump on my head for the better part of a week or so. That was awesome!
