Thank you for the link.
I see this is an alpha lite version, what other version are there and what are their restrictions ?

NVM, I should google more often:

"Arma 3 Alpha Lite is similar to the regular Arma 3 Alpha in terms of content. However, modding and multiplayer are not supported. People can access Arma 3 Alpha Lite for free, but will require an ‘invite’ to do so. These invites can be obtained via people who have purchased the regular Arma 3 Alpha. They will also be randomly dispersed via our social channels and selected media outlets".

As far as I know there's only the regular alpha version... I don't know what the difference is between the lite and the regular versions.

The game isn't released yet, there is only an alpha. The normal alpha has everything, and the lite has only single-player plus editing tools. Also, those who have (paid for) the regular alpha will get the full game when it's released, those invited to the lite version will not. That is, you get editing tools, but can't use edited content.

That's as far as I have understood, at least.

The regular alpha version you have to pay for, whereas the lite version is free and invite-only. If you buy the regular alpha version, you get access to the beta and, eventually, the full game. I bet the lite version won't give you access to the full game, though. That's the only difference I can tell.

Edit: Maighstir ninja'd my answer XD

You do get to play the entire single player campaign though, from what I read. I could be wrong though.. still, that's not bad for "Free".
