If you have not seen the RPS article, apparently AT:BT1 is a just released remake/revamp of Mechwarrior 2 that's available for free (with potentially horrible voice acting). Definitely going to check it out after work. Still no new word on Mechwarrior 4.

Couldn't stand the controls. They went with something similar to the MW3 defaults, which I hated. There's also not enough customization options to tweak it into something more resembling MW2. It's still a beta though, so hopefully more control options will be added later.
Voice acting in-game seems to be limited to a few short taunts. No horrific dialogue like that one trailer.

What's the deal with the installer/downloader type program that you have to get first? Seems a little bit odd to me.
I may try this, but more likely I'm just gonna wait for the new one, whenever it's finished.
