I was going to post this in the Gaming Deals thread, but a quick glance over the last page gave me the impression that it's not about game deals anymore.

One of Rake in Grass' other worthwhile games,'Larva Mortus' is on sale at Beamdog for $3.40. You need the Beamdog client to play it, yeah, but the client itself is so much smaller than even the Steam client main executable. MDK2 HD is also on sale for 50% off (of $15) if you need extra motivation, or Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine (written by the two fine fellows who brought you the King's Quest rehashes). But buy Larva Mortus. Rake in Grass needs cash.

They tried submitting their games to Valve for selling on Steam several times, but after just as many rejections, went with Gamers Gate and Beamdog instead.

However, that's their only game there. Still, currently the deal you pointed out is better financially.

That can't be right. I've been keeping an eye out for RiG games on Steam forever. Oh well, at least the Beamdog servers don't suffer as much downtime as Steam's do. You know, so you don't get that "You can't play this game because you can't launch the client" message as often.
