Considering it's actually guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution and its amendments, it's gonna be very hard to pass a big law on it.
Australians, however, actually only have the right to assemble and to vote (except in the A.C.T, which has a bill of rights)
Ergo our government can constitutionally do a LOT of stuff........
Given Australia's history you really should be doing much better when it comes to turning large swaths of the populace into criminals. Hell, us Yanks are already averaging three felonies a day, and by my reckoning that means you Aussies have some serious catching up to do. So get to the law-breakin'.
You guys should come to Malaysia where everybody is involved in some crime.
From breaking traffic rules, pirating both software and physical goods to bribery and corruption.
