Anyone played this before it went defunct? I was in the beta, and it was one MMORPG that I was seriously considering getting into, especially since I'm not a huge fan of MMORPGs in general. It was essentially the first game that I felt like I was actually having fun grinding in. Sure there were problems in the beta, but when the game worked for me, it was actually very fun. I really enjoyed trying out the different guns, be it acid spray or bullet machine guns. It was just so much fun trashing buildings, collecting the crafting materials, and then shooting at nearby mobs, Interstate 76 style. It was just pure carnage-fun.
So, did anyone actually enjoy it also? What were the problems that you saw in the game, besides the low population upon launch? The main issue that stopped me from actually buying the game was how poorly the beta ran on my PC, and I wasn't going to take the chance of buying and finding out that the retail version also sucks on my PC

I didnt play it, but from the reviews it got it apparently was a very crappy game. Dont konw why specifically, the game just got killed by the reviews.
yeah i played it. got my collectors edition box still for all teh good it does me now.
i really liked the game, but then i really like driving games.
wish someone had patched it so you could play it offline as the game was pretty much soloable.
I remember the first city that you're thrown into after the tutorial had this "race track" thing. Does the rest of the game also have similar "race tracks"? I didn't actually try racing during the beta, but I had some nice high speed chases with mobs. Very very cool.
I had never played it, and I hadn't even heard of it until it was shuttered and I was listening to the PC Gamer Podcast. Interesting game, but I can see why it was closed. MMOs that aren't really MMOs and you're just driving around and paying a monthly fee for that isn't exactly worth it.
True but it had a lot of potential to be more than what it was. The concept was there - cars in the wasteland, on foot in towns. Too bad NetDevil never had the balls (and resources) to do what was necessary.
