Just curious as to what my fellow GOGlodytes think? Also should Wii U count since it's been out a year or 2 now...?
Eh? WiiU has been out for about 7 months...

Knew I was wrong, I'm crap with dates and I don't own a Wii U so not the most knowledgeable fella on it I'm afraid. :)
If we are lucky nothing big :D
I recently saw a trailer for a game Monolith was developing for the WiiU and that looked interesting.
And Lego City Undercover and of course the first party Nintendo line-up look interesting.
I haven't seen any PS4 or Xbone exclusives that were interesting so far (or I'm not remembering them).
Here's a list:

Oh god, a console war thread. Anyway ...Short story first

I remember when I was buying my first console and the picks were PS2 or XBOX. I lined up all the exclusive titles and started reading up on them. PS2 won easily. And after that, I just stuck with playstation. Hell, I thought every single XBOX360 will come to PC anyway, because it's MS, they are PC company, for christ sake. It started nicely, Gears of War came out, but came with GFWL and a gold subscription. LOL, nice try Microsoft. After that, nothing came out for PC until Fable 3 (i think?), but I did not want that game anyway, hated the idea of running the kingdom. I was really happy when Alan Wake came out. One reason less for me to get a X360. My playlist for X360 looks like this:

Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo 4. Halo Wars, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3.

I'll buy the 360 someday to play these games, probably used, since knowing MS, they will probably cut support and production a day after XBONE releases.

And now comes next-gen games exclusives. After 2 generations with playstation, I am sticking with playstation. I am way more attached to their IP. Infamous, God Of War, Uncharted. Sure, I like the look of Ryse, I still dont know shit about Quantum Break, but if you have to watch a tv show, to stay in the loop. Hell no. And MS still hasnt got (announced?) anything like Ratchet&Clank, Jak&Daxter, Sly Cooper. They have Banjoo IP and they dont know what to do with it. When I saw Knack in Feburary, I was really excited, not so much after E3, but the point is Sony actually produces games like that. Fun, colorful platformers.

If you count the currently announced exclusive line-up, MS wins, hands down. But do they have the Order? Nope. Infamous? Nope. Sure, they have Crackdown, but I prefer Infamous. The only genre I don't care about is driving games. So, I dont care about Forza or GT.

I still dont know if my opinion on exclusives is based on the console I own, or do I actually prefer Sony IPs. To me, they seem more .... magical, I guess. I dont think MS is capable of producing a gem like Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.
Wow didn't know Xbox had that much more exclusives than Sony. Shows how much multiplatform games, Sony used in their conference.

I agree a lot with what you say, especially about platformers and Banjo. However with the exception of Knack, Sony is trying to go the mature, dark games, same as last-gen. Xbox launch had more colourful/unique/random titles like Sunset Overdrive, D4, Crimson Dragon and Killer Instinct and seems to be heading a different direction than Sony . Course they still have Halo and Forza to keep the old fanbase happy. I could be just optimistic cause Kameo and Viva Pinata near the start of the 360 made it seem varied but they eventually abandoned all that and went back to shooting and racing.

Also: You've good taste in games.

WiiU will have Bayonetta 2 and new Smash and Wonderful 101. Honestly, that's all I care about at the moment because the other interesting games will be multiplatform, or on PC as well.

And by other interesting games I mainly mean Metal Gear Solid 5.

I will only buy Smash if Tom Nook is in it! *goes into sulky child mode*
The Wii U has X and Bayonetta but I doubt the third-party exclusives will continue from there, and Nintendo games are way too sporadic to really carry a system for me, plus it doesn't help that as someone who didn't grow up with the Nintendo consoles I've never cared for Metroid or Zelda, etc.

Between the other two I am definitely sticking with Sony. MS just doesn't have the exclusives, we see a Halo or a GoW or Forza here and there but not much else, sure at the moment they do have more exclusives, but history condemns them; while Sony's show that having nearly 20 first-party studios make it hard for others to compete in number and variety.

If they can forget to include two of the xbox's biggest franchise, then why should I trust the rest?
I mean seriously, how could they forget a Fable and a Halo when examining Xbox exclusives?
I know, it's designed to be biased, but still?!
Anyway, confused rant mode over.

I checked what you said and they did forget Fable 3, if you mean the Halo 1 remake they didn't count HD re-releases on Sony's side either, so you can add one more game on the Xbox pile. Hardly matters though, the point is they have a pitifully small number of exclusives and this image is just an overview confirming what we always knew anyway.

This wasn't a HD re-release though it, it was a remake, with new features. Anyway, yeah the later years of the 360 was pitiful exclusive-wise until you count a lot of casual crap that they released. They missed a lot of that, but it was so casual and tbh I never heard of them, that no wonder they didn't include them.
