so many great ones... Stephen Russell is my pick.
Lani Minella

Funny thing, i don't think i know a single game from the first post.;P
Jennifer Hale, no brainer.
Tony Jay is great.

Troy Baker.

Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man.

Laura Bailey. I haven't actually heard much of her work, but what I have heard (mostly Serah from the Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2) is great.

James McCaffrey.

Actually I think they're good also.. maybe not 'technically' great.. but JC's voice is very atmospheric and the rest add rather than subtract.

As far as female voices go I'd have to say Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.. everytime I hear her I see Motoko Kusinagi, regardless of the actual part.. It's just a very nice voice.

Jon St. John. =)
David Warner as the main villain in Baldur's Gate II was the best. Such a cold, calculating voice.

After Arkham Asylum there can be no doubt about this.

tomimt: I've always liked Tim Curry's voice acting in Gabriel Knight 1 and 3. It was a damn shame GK2 dropped voice actors, as the dude playing Gabriel is horrible.

Also Dominc Armato as Guybrush is good IMO.
How come you're the first one to mention these two??!!

I found them terrible. Appalling, even. Almost everyone does such a rubbish job at everything, especially faking an accent that I regularly muted sounds during dialogue. I think the few exceptions aren't enough to call the voice acting decent.
I liked the voice acting in Tomb Raider, especially Lara's voice in the tutorial.

Harlan Ellison - I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

His voice made the whole game funny as hell

"Hate. Let me tell you how much I've come to hate you since I began to live. There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers that fill my complex. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. Hate. Hate. "

Love that line
Jim Cummings, Jennifer Hale, Frank Welker, Rob Paulsen etc
Not only have they voiced some of my favourite games, they voice most of my favourite cartoons.

Then there's Dominic Armato and Tony Plana.

Not forgetting David Warner:

No mention of Legacy of Kain actors except Tony Jay?
Really?
