It was orginally marketted as "collection." I suspect this is really down in the noise of Bethesda's concerns and they want Interplay to cease and desist the FO MMO and are using all their contract details to force Interplay's hand. The threats to sue back in April did nothing to get Interplay's attention.

Though personally, I think EA has turned around a lot in the past couple years.

Matter with Codies wasn't so 'loud' because perhaps not too many users bought their racing games on gog (another that downloads from account are still avaiable, for Toca 3 too). With awasome,warshipped Fallout it's different :-). But I even can't imagine the size of flame war if Fallout titles will ber emoved...

It's just a shame that as soon as they stopped treating their staff like shit and started producing new IP, they unleashed a plague of DRM on their customers. That seems to be passing now at least.

Well, DRM has never been a focus for me like it has with others on this site. I focus more on their EA partners initiative and internal refocus on high quality games and new, innovative titles. Both Dead Space and Mirror's Edge rank in my favourite games of the last year.

If it has install limits then I'm not interested. It's that simple really. I don't see why I should pay full price for a rental.

My point though was that the issue has nothing to do with DRM. I know this site is full of anti-DRM people, and that's fine, but you can still assess their success in the last couple years in all other areas.
