Theres a countdown on http://www.bioware.com /, http://masseffect.bioware.com/ and http://dragonage.bioware.com/ sites but there isnt one on http://www.swtor.com/ . do you think it may be the beta opening? A new game?
Discuss.
Its about the time the Kasumi DLC for mass effect 2 is due but thats hardly countdown worthy.
There's a rumour going around about Dragon Age 2 coming out in april 2011 but I doubt that one
The release of their back catalogue on GOG?
Their game list does still include "New Next Gen Game" so I'm betting it'll be that
Ea shut down bioware.
ea no longer owns bioware.
bioware buys out ea.
beta opening for there new mmo..
New game.
crazy idea that may or may not happen.

Aliasalpha: The release of their back catalogue on GOG?

Thats what i thought at first considering gogs got some stuff planned but i dont know if they would make such a big deal out of it even though it would be awesome. It could be the SWTOR beta but the game dosnt come out for like a year even though it looks pretty ready.
I hope its a KotOR sequel but i dont think thats likely to happen.
Especially since they're specifically said KOTOR3 is not going to happen
Its a countdown to 4 zeros! Hooray for 4 zeros!
I may guess it is the announcement of their "New Next Gen Game". They won't do a SP kotor soon, since swtor is "spiritually" kotor 3.
=?

That WOULD rock. Unlikely, but awesome. I just hope if they do that, it is the original 4 (or 5) CD version for BG I, not the later 1 DVD compilation. Baldur's Gate TuTu (the fan mod that allows graphics, the improved GUI, and bags of holding to make looting easier from BG II to be used with BG I) can only be used with the original version. At least that was the case a year or so ago when I reinstalled BG I and II for another run through. I would love a back up installer for the iriginal disc set though, the set I have makes my DVD drive make funny noises during an install, and sometimes there are read errors; took me about 4 tries to get Disc 2 to install correctly when I installed last, bleh).
But, yeah, pretty much anything from their catalog on GOG would be insanely awesome, even though I think I have everything they released to PC in the last 10 or 12 years already (except ME2, because I think I need a computer upgrade to run it well).

How about BioWare shut down EA?

Then we would get the critically acclaimed action-RPG Command & Conquer: Revolution. Then it would be appended with an expansion: Command & Conquer: Revolution - Uprising, and the meta-expansion Command & Conquer: Revolution - Uprising - Riots'n shit.

I have installed Easytutu with the DVD version of BG and ToTSC many times, it works perfectly. I've never tried the manual Tutu install as Easytutu does everything so much... well... easier.
Anyway, here is a fantastic thread for any of your Tutu worries:

If GOG released a version of these games I would buy them simply to get rid of the annoying install advertisements that play from the DVD. :)

ALT+F4 seems to skip those just fine (IIRC).

Hrrm, guess it was my mistake then, or I am thinking of something else entirely. It WAS a couple years ago, after all, so my memory is a little foggy on the details. Thanks for clearing that up, at any rate.
One thing I DO know is different in the two versions is that the DVD version lacks the low level Ring of Wizardry (an extra level 1, 2, and 3 spell, IIRC) in the tree nook in the zone with the Friendly Arms Inn (I think that is what it was called}. Not a huge thing, but it did mean an extra Magic Missile, Melf's Acid Arrow, and Fireball (or whatever, but those are probably the spells I would choose).
EDIT: Had to edit in Melf's before Acid Arrow. I can't believe I forgot that... :P
