xxxIndyxxx: I updated the driver (again) (there seemed to be something wrong with it since the newest one followed so soon) and made sure everything was back to how it was. So if you change nothing or use the driver that they have now (nvidia) you should be fine ;)
Ok thanks, and good to know the fix was so straightforward (ie. apparently a HW vendor's driver cock-up that got fixed promptly).
