It would be nice if Brutal Legend sometime in the future gets a PC port.
If so, my X360 For Windows Controller and/or KB/mouse are waiting for it...
Yeah, just like how I'm waiting for Fable 2 PC Edition...
I'm praying after M$ milks Fable 2 on there box they port it to PC.
But the intro to Brutal Legend as Alias said is really quite spot on. Nu-metal, Emo-metal, all this crap that calls itself hard is just finding its own way. But i do have to say Mnenic - Deathbox Is amazing... for Nu-Metal band... Sybreed isnt to bad either.

Amen.
I would so jump for joy, if M$ has Lionheard (or some 3rd party group) port it over here correctly.
Though, M$ hasn't really published many PC games, since....maybe Shadowrun? It's been like over 2 years...

Aliasalpha: Genuine passion is the one and only thing that truly matters in music and nowhere is it more evident than in metal. Metal is metal, if its hard, awesome and doesn't give a fuck then it rocks, if its obviously pretending to do that then its invariably lame.
I think Stuck Mojo said it best in Metal Is Dead
"Don't need that four leaf clover, Your fifteen minutes, Yeah it's over, But there'll be more just like you, Always following, thieving and borrowing, Dying to find the formula, Man you ain't Freddy Krueger, You're just Count Chocula, Silly rabbit this ain't no trick, Cause I walk the walk And your minute-made riffs, They ride the dick"

I wouldn't say that Metal is the only genre where passion is clear. Definitely not. It's evident in other genres as well, just as strongly. Different, yes, but strong, nonetheless.
To the people putting blame on Schafer...it isn't his fault. Publishers RAGE!, etc. I never understood why publishers were so terrible at publishing. They're literally just passing up money for no reason.
EDIT: Eek, no italics.

Oh very true but what I was trying to point out is trhat metal is the genre where it seems easiest to notice the faking wankers who have no passion at all

Catshade: But Brutal Legend is not an adventure game, is it?

It's still Tim Schafer who built up his fanbase from primarily PC gamers.
Also, how is that Alan Wake PC release coming along?
As I said before, it doesn't matter what Schafer thinks... someday on a future I'll be playing his game on my PC. Emulated, yes. But still, his game. And it will probably be an illegal copy unfortunately.
It's such a shame that some publishers are SO afraid of selling games on the PC. Because I'd totally buy this one.
