I bought my last t-shirt on Play.com. They are pretty cheap and some of them are really cool.

I get most of my T-shatsu from Urban Outfitters' website. They frequently have some pretty sweet deals, and the majority of it's high quality.
Threadless is fun, too.

I checked out Threadless last night, while searching for reviews on American Apparel. Thanks, but I'm suspicious as to the quality of their t-shirts. Doesn't seem as customisable as Cafepress or Snoorg Tees.
Urban Outfitters I've never heard of before. Is it a popular franchise in America? Trustworthy? They've got some dang nice shoes.

Argh! How could I have left out UO? Those guys have great designs.

Threadless uses American Apparel now? I haven't shopped from them in a while, and some of my last batch got the colors messed up in a new washing machine on the first week I had them (too much of that new soap? never figured it out...).
American Apparel has a really high reputation, and is pretty similar to UO from what I understand (never really shopped there--though I'd like to check them out). Also, they sponsor the brilliant Vice magazine.
Urban Outfitters is a pretty big chain of hipster fashion, or that's how I've always looked at them. Gotten a lot of sweet designs off of there, and they're constantly having sales on random items without any notice--and things sell out fast. I did just get some totally boss brogues from them a couple days ago.

The thing about AA is they're very... different. Using porn stars to advertise their clothes, harassing people in underwear, etc., you'd think they'd be out of business by now.

I don't know, but people on some review site were asking whether Threadless uses AA, and apparently only the ladies' clothes are AA; I read that guys' clothes use Fruit of the Loom, which apparently I've never heard of before either. So, I checked out FOTL's site, and its selection isn't very impressive. From reviews, it seems to use sweatshop labor too, so that's a double minus for me. Well enough about Threadless here then.
I'm not interested in design as much as the quality of the t-shirt material itself. How does UO stand against AA in terms of quality? Do the threads come off easily? Does the t-shirt stretch easily and lose its shape after wearing a few times, like some lousier quality ones?
By the way is AA better than GAP?

Old Navy > AA > Gap > Banana Republic > Sweatshop-made sports shirt crap that everyone wears.

So anyone have anymore good things to say, or recommendations?

Just got my Typetee from Threadless ("The internet was closed, so I thought I'd step outside") and I love it. Better than my GOG shirt, I must say, which is not worth the money for a freaking walking ad.

I like the necktie one the most. Put a casual sport jacket over it and you're ready to paint the town red.

Never mind, after doing research, I've found out they are using sweatshop labor. I'm not gonna buy from them after all. Shame, some of their clothes are very nice.

I just ordered a bunch from $6 Dollar Shirts. (http://6dollarshirts.com) Not in yet, so I can't say the quality, but they were having a sale and I needed clothes. Also, you can order most of the shirts in a good number of shirt colors(4+), which is nice.

Can you update me on the quality when you've received the clothes? Price is good, but I'm more interested in how good the quality of the cotton is.

I got a shirt with a giant graphic of a ketchup bottle with a hammer chasing down tomatoes. The shirt feels really, really good to wear. The fabric is awesome. I'd wear it all the time, if people didn't mind that sort of behavior.
