I just got this awesome monitor my father used to use in his office, a flat LCD with 1680 x 1050 resolution and VGA component, S-Video and composite video inputs. I'm thinking about also plugging my PS2 into the thing, but I have RGB cables. Is there any way to convert it, or do they sell composite cables for the PS2? Or will it work if I plug my RGB cables into the composite port?
I'm asking here because Googling isn't coming up with any satisfying results and I'll have to move a bunch of things around to plug in the PS2, so I really don't want to go through all that without it working.

I don't think composite will work at all on component ports. Component splits the colors to different signals, so if it did work you would only see one color spectrum.
PS2 does have component cable support, luckily. Should be able to get 3rd party cables for very cheap on ebay or amazon.
Your post is kind of confusing. As far as the title question, RGB cables are component. Yes they do sell composite cables for the PS2, but you shouldn't need to buy any if you still have the original cables it came with.
i think you will need something like this:

and no, RGB and composite cables are not compatible.

PS2 and PS3 AV cables are the same, they work in both. PS3 really needs HDMI though.

Ah yes, I see he kind of wrote that wrong in some way, perhaps my response was incorrect.
If you have component cables and want to go into compostie connections, that isn't possible either. Same advice applies, buy composite cables on ebay or amazon for cheap, though you should have them already.

At the bottom of the screen it says "VGA, component, S-Video and composite video inputs" so RGB is component? OK, thanks. Just having a hard time finding the familiar Yellow-White-Red at the bottom, then. That's what they're talking about when they say RGB, right?
EDIT: Ah, no it doesn't. Stupid of me. I'll go pick up some PS2/PS3 component cables (I heard the PS3 one works with the PS2). And out of curiousity, why does PS3 need an HDMI cable instead of a component one? I'm using HDMI in my game room, I read on the component cable's product page from reviews that component allows full HD.
EDIT 2: Also, the monitor itself doesn't have speakers. I'll have to figure out a way to get them connected to it...
