Initial attack:

Harbinger has 161 crew and will therefore, roll d(161).

To defend, Standard Alpha has 88 crew. Half of that, rounded up (or not, in this case) is 44. Therefore, Standard Alpha will roll d(44).

Harbinger rolls 122 on d(161).
Standard Alpha rolls 20 on d(44)

122 minus 20 is is 102. Therefore, Standard Alpha loses 102 crew (well, it only had 88, so...) and there is no counterattack.

The Harbinger wins!!! Congratulations, you have captured the Standard Alpha and earned 25 crystals for the RUI!!!

Morgan DeVore, the captain of the Alpha now makes a loyalty check. He rolls 12 on a d(20). According to the rules, this means he remains loyal to the 3SE, but is captured before he can escape the ship. He has been arrested by the RUI and no longer exists in the gameworld.

Thanks to everyone who played!

I updated the formula for ship construction based on the way this tutorial was going, so I need to make changes to both these ships to match the specifications... however, they will both belong to the RUI once I re-design them. All factions will be getting 10 ships of their own (except now the 3SE will have 9 and the RUI will have 11).

If there's any other questions, feel free to ask.
