Since buying games on consoles is very expensive. I was looking for websites that sell PS3 game codes that are cheap and can be redeemed on my PS3.

So if anyone knows of some online stores that sell these codes, please enlighten me.
You're probably not going to find any one source that has discounted codes (console game prices are usually fixed), but you may find occasional good sales, like the Amazon Deal of the Day.

Yeah Amazon throws an occasional deal for PS3 games but they sell only hard copies, sadly no game codes.
If you're planning to get alot of games a PS+ subscription might work in your favor.

Most people I know with it tend to say it pays itself off very well with the sales not to mention the "free" games they tend to give out.

Free meaning you own the game as long as your subscribed to PS+.

Disclaimer - I don't own a PS3 but I keep hearing good things about the PS+.

+1 for this, the "instant collection" and sales are really quite good. Also, not sure if this is the case in India, but in the US they are currently running PS+ sale, buy a year, get 3 extra months free.

This is the reason I don't want to go for PS+. As you never own the games. They only lasts till the subscription lasts.

This is only true of the instant game collection. Anything you actually buy under the PS+ special sales is your to keep, even if you cancel the subscription.

I've never seen this question adressed but are you allowed to buyout any of the games you have in your instant game collection so their not tied to the PS+ ?

I don't know about PS+, but if it works anything like Live Gold there's a lot of sales only available to those who are paying. I think I paid 5 bucks for Warped instead of the 2.50 I could have snagged it for on Steam, but I wanted it on XBLA and the convenience was worth it. Some sales are as good or better than PC, especially if you're willing to get a disc version of a game from Amazon.

Not trying to start a console war but for the most part but other then the improved networking under XBL gold PS+ makes it look bad.

Yup, but they are usually at full price, no special PS+ discount. It is best to wait to buy them until they are out of the instant game collection (the selection changes regularly), then they often get a PS+ discount.

For the price of one new game you get a library of about 18 games that constantly changes (games rotate in and out monthly) with timed full game demos of most major titles, one membership covers PS3 and Vita together (if you've got a Vita), plus great discounts on additional games. Totally worth the investment, IMO.

There's pluses and minuses. I actually think paying for online play reduces trolling, for all the epic whining about XBL play, my experiences on PC multiplayer are always much worse.

I buy Gold Family for me and my daughter. It's a great way to engage with her and the controls are easily worth the price.

I think PS+ also sounds fine, I just don't play all my games as it is. If someone is happy with their 40 bucks a year (or whatever they end up paying) it's all good:) None of these are exorbitant fees.

orcishgamer: snip...
No problem with that, it all breaks down to what friends and family are playing in the end.
(And I'll shut up now, don't want to end up hijacking the thread on an unrealated topic.)
