Bummer. Can you at least switch channels (if not on the router then your cordless phones or whatever other wireless devices are nearby?)
Also, is GOG the only source you find problematic? Are your downloads generally successful?
i've never had a problem downloading anything else from another site or source, just gog. and there are 2 servers to pick from....tried both with the same failed results.

Well, I dunno. Sounds like bandwidth shaping to me.

You mentioned in another thread that your base has an active radar, thats exactly the sort of thing that can screw up wireless if the em shielding in the barracks isn't up to snuff. Have you got any other big downloads you can test with? Failing that have you got some tinfoil you can use for wallpaper?
well that solves the issue of where the problem stems from, i'm about a quarter of a mile from eagle radio and the ATC facilities and they have all sorts radar equipment emitting RF radiation, antennas, radios, and all the proper junk they need to run an air field. thats more than likely what keeps messing up my files when i'm downloading. and theres not a damn thing i can do about that lol. wow that sucks.
Sounds like you're going to have to try and convert to a cabled connection. What a pain in the arse.
tell me about it....the army contracts everything out nowadays, even cable and interent. the only cable internet option we have is comcast, which wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt wireless. the way they work it is they have an access point assigned to every like 3 rooms or so and its located across the hall in the maintenance closet with all the utility stuff. i live in the new barracks and an actual plug-in connection isnt available at this moment, but might be available by the time i get back from colorado in mid november(i hope).

So the army contracted wireless internet that... won't even work within proximity of any of their bases with radar installations? I may be laughing, but that doesn't make it funny.
Is there any way you could do a bit of a DIY job and replace the wireless modem with cabled one(s)?
ya....but i could get into a shit ton of trouble if i got caught and more than likely get kicked outta the barracks and have to find an apartment off base. seeing as how the room is directly acrossed from mine i think they would see the ethernet cord running under the door, across the hall, and into my room.....no ceiling tiles so i couldnt run it through the ceiling. trust me, i've contemplated all of that lol, thers no way i could get away with it. not to mention i dont even have the key to that room, sometimes the lazy civillian guy that does maintenance leaves the door unlocked. but still, not pheasible, wont get away with it.
edit- quick question, so even if i use a download manager that wont solve my problem will it. i tried using flashget once before when i downloaded arx fatalis and i still got a corrupted file error....so would a download manager help my chances at all?

It might if it checks for corruption itself and redownloads the bits that get corrupted before completing. Try getright I've used it in the past and I believe it has that functionallity hopefully it will solve your problem.
i went to a buddy's house last night for a party and this morning when i was hungover like a son of a bitch i used his internet to download a copy, its installing right now and i have yet to get a corrupted error message, so all is good in the land of the romnom.
