As Syndicate was released a few days ago, I realized how much I actually like Cyberpunk games and books. The whole scenario is fascinating and intriguing. So I am looking other games which are cyberpunk oriented.

The ones I know now are Deus Ex Series and Syndicate. Any other suggestions? Help is really appreciated.

System Shock 2.

As for a game that you can actually purchase: Hard Reset.
Tried Beneath a Steel Sky yet?
Actually I never played System Shock 2, I might give it a shot. Heard only good stuff about it and it is considered as a classic. Hard Reset won't run on my pc.

Also Beneath a Steel Sky looks awesome as an adventure game but I do not really like adventure games. Thanks anyway.
The ones I can remember off the top of my head:

Omikron
Perfect Dark
Oni (only the PC version is fun)
Project Snowblind

Just so you know though, Dieselpunk is better than Cyberpunk and Steampunk combined.
Hmm, I think E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy is cyberpunk. It's getting mixed reviews, but apparently those who can get into it really love it. I liked what I saw, but my computer doesn't run it very well.

I consider Space Siege to be cyberpunk, but I can't honestly recommend getting it. If you want to give it a try, do some reading on it first.

Wouldn't Warhammer 40k be the definitive cyberpunk? Or am I getting my genres crossed again? If I'm not, the first Warhammer 40k game series is the only RTS I've ever really enjoyed, and I still play it often.

Oh, I enjoy Rogue Trooper, and someone told me that the comic is considered to be cyberpunk. I'm not so sure, but it's a good game, so it's worth checking out to see if you would agree.

I'm out. Can't think of many. I'm a bit fuzzy still on what defines steampunk or cyberpunk.

The Anniversary Edition mod is pretty cool. If you decide to add in blood though, there's a better version out there (in the standard version, it's way too bright).

Thanks, the game is actually pretty good. I already own it.

Warhammer is not really Cyberpunkt, but the definitions are not really set. Usually it takes place in a dark, pessimistic and gritty world on earth. Technology and Humanity is mixed and becomes a symbiosis. But rather in a bad way. Besides the world is always controlled by large corporations or criminal gangs, drugs and crime is also pretty important.

Which one? And thanks for the definition! By that definition, isn't that old Shadowrun game cyberpunk, then? I'd love to see Bethesda or Obsidian do something along the lines of Fallout in that kind of universe >.>
Because this is GOG I suggest Chaos Overlords, something a bit different.
System Shock - mostly the first one since the second focused somewhat more on the survival horror genre. In the first you mount cameras to the back of your head and jets to your feet, load up on hallucinogenic drugs, and routinely project yourself into cyberspace.

Shadowrun (the Megadrive and SNES games, completely different from one another) are about the cyberpunkiest games around.

The Deus Ex games are set in a near-future transition into cyberpunk setting.

Wikipedia comes up trumps. The first paragraph pretty much sums it up. Dystopia + cybernetic enhancements = cyberpunk. Steampunk explores alternative histories with impractical and expensive steam powered equivalents of more modern inventions than the period would typically have. Biopunk is genetic enhancement. Rouge Trooper might fall under that, not sure. But Bioshock certainly does.

40K is basically what it says: Warhammer. But 40,000 years in the future. It's a fantasy world expanded to a fantasy universe and having undergone 40,000 years of technological evolution. It's essentially still fantasy and has no pretence of being sci-fi of any kind.
Hell: A cyberpunk thriller, Final Fantasy 7, Blade Runner, Deus Ex, E.Y.E Divine cybermancy, Johnny Mnemonic, Shadowrun (SNES & Mega drive, two different games), Oni, Beneath a steel sky, Neuromancer, Syndicate, Syndicate Wars & System shock 1-2 are the only cyberpunk games that I can think of right now.
