Dark does not equal evil. don't ja know (guess the bleach character)?
Dark is easier on the eyes and more suitable to the site overall.

Miaghstir: That depends on many factors, I DO use LCD screens both at home and work, and they're all set to high contrast and mid-to-high brightness. Though that is of course relative to the the capabilities of the screen, I have no idea what it amounts to in absolute values (and that is also dependant on the general lighting of the room).

I found that once I switched over to an LCD, things were a lot brighter than a CRT.
Though I don't mean the brightness and contrast settings, but rather the "natural" brightness capabilities of an LCD. Some LCDs are much darker than others when compared side by side with the same brightness settings.
Anyway, I was just curious.
