Thanks for all the responses.
Titan Quest won't run on a netbook, at least not in a playable fashion.
Sacred would be at the top of the list, but requires 1024x768, and netbooks are 1024x600.
I bought Divine Divinity for $10. Haven't played much yet, but it runs really well.
As for Fate, I bought that to...retail...and it seems to require a CD. Any idea how to get around that?

FoxbodyMustang: I've not gotten around to trying it out, but you could try FreeDroid RPG. ( http://freedroid.sourceforge.net/ ) It's very similar to Diablo, except it is entirely freeware. I don't think there is any multiplay in it though, but I could be wrong. Also, if you're familiar with Linux, you'll recognize Tux the Pengiun as the main character. Whether it is good or bad, it's freeware so it's definately worth a look.
Also, I've not yet tried it on a netbook since I've had no interest in playing it lately with all my new purchases (I can install and check if you'd like and report my opinion), but you could try FATE. There is no multiplay but it is a great hack n slash rpg with nice replay value. System requirements are not very demanding and I imagine would run on a netbook. And it is definately better in graphics, it just doesn't have that touch of darkness I want right now.
DarkStone as mentioned is also a good one, I've not played it in years though. I have both the Playstation and PC versions of it. Also, ya gotta love the music video for it. I'll have to dig that one out and play it again sometime.
Note: FATE does not require the CD to play so no need to keep an external drive at hand. I cannot remember if the CD is needed with DarkStone, I believe it is though.
UPDATED:: Ok I've installed FATE onto my netbook (OCZ neutrino), and as long as you don't want all the eye candy it seems to run fine. Turning off shadows had the biggest performance increase of course. Running it at 800x600 resolution. Actually, I had most of the stuff turned off or as low as possible, and it still looked better than Diablo 2. The install note said it would not run on PCs with an integrated GPU as it requires a 3D accelerated card, but I've ran it on an older notebook, a dual core atom PC I built, and now this netbook, all with interated GPU; and it runs fine on them all.
