Does Disciples Gold run on Windows 7?

The GOG compatibility list, I mean.

Far out, it sure doesn't. I think I might have had to change the compatibility setting but I'm not even sure about that. One thing I know for sure is that I am on Windows 7 and it works on my pc.

I'd rather not reinstall it right now but if you are really worried about it not working on your PC I suppose I can and get back to you with my settings.

It looks like a good game, and it also looks like it runs on most Win 7 PCs if this thread is anything to go by...

It is turn based which is not my favorite by a long shot but given it's age it does look sound and run really good.

Strange..how can a game that GOG lists as compatible with XP, Vista, and 8 not work with Windows 7? I just bought this game an hour ago and it seems to run, but I've not put any game time into it yet. I hope I haven't bought another incompatible game from GOG.

Easy mode: When you set up a game to play, right click the shortcut, select properties, switch to compatibility tab, set to XP compatibility mode. This will work to solve most issues with most games that you play that are older than 10 years.

I wonder if the listing for D:SL is a typo?

I got a new laptop last year, switching from Vista to 7, and (to my shame) I haven't installed either Disciples game on it. Note to self...
