Asking because I was interested in Crusader Kings on their site. So, do they have any sort of DRM? They claim you can " Play your games on any PC" and " Redownload your games as much as you want", but I wanted to know if there are any strings attached, i.e do I need to be connected to their server while I play, like Steam?

Yes, you need the client to install / update your games.

It depends, they are very Steam-like with their DRM, some games they have their own DRM (which change of name from time to time), others uses 3rd parties DRM on top of their own, the main difference with Steam is that they don't require a client to run the game.
