What are you using? The GOG downloader? It doesn't work on Macs.
Download the game using your browser. You can only install the games on Windows though.
So my macbook cant download the game then?

Download, yes (through the browser). Not install or play (unless you're using Windows or Wine, and I don't know how well the game runs through Wine).

Not with the GOG downloader. Like I said, download using your browser if you must use your macbook. I'm assuming then you will copy the files to a USB drive or wherever and move them to a Windows machine.

It should be able to, as long as you download it through the browser. But as OmegaX said, it's a Windows game, so you won't be able to install it without jumping through some hoops. You'll need Wine, Crossover, or something like that to get it running on a Mac. I'm sure one of the regulars here who uses a Mac could tell you more.

Keep in mind though, that GOG.com is a Windows service, so you won't get anything here that'll actually work on a Mac out of the box. All installers here are Windows installers.

You are aware that a Mac uses a completely different operating system, right? I'm not actively trying to be offensive or insulting, but it does sound a bit like what you're asking is akin to "Why won't this PS3 game I just bought run on my Wii?"

No, it's not. It's exactly the same. A computer is not just a computer, just as a console is not just a console.

In the end, it's not the hardware that's the issue, it's the software, but the end result is the same. A PC will most likely be running Windows as its operating system, that is, the central software that controls the machine itself. That's the operating system that most games are made for. A Mac will always be running some version of MacOS as its operating system when it's bought. A program made for Windows will not run on MacOS, and vice versa, just as a game made for the PS3 operating system (which doesn't have a separate name because the PS3 is the only hardware it runs on) will not run on the Wii operating system (same thing as with the PS3) and vice versa.

I do hope someone can help you out though.
Alright...thanks for your time.

You can actually play many games from here on Mac, you just need to download a software called "Wine", but I'm not sure where you get it from...

Actually, you should be able to get it running quite well with the likes of Wineskin. I may have had to do a little tweaking, but I got it to run without problems on the Mac I used to have. You'd have to read up a little about it, but don't be afraid. It ain't rocket science. That's about as much help as I can give right now, since I've been out of the Mac race again for a while.
