It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

This has probably already been addressed in the past, but I just recently (like, in the last 2 weeks) got a computer with Vista on it (my old one was XP) and I came here to GOG today to start downloading some of the games I bought and Vista is downloading slow as balls and nothing I can do seems to make a difference. Is there something I can change to straighten out the download speeds or is this just Vista being a whore like usual?
I sincerely doubt it's Vista, either it's your net connection being wonky(try a speedtest) or GOG's bandwidth getting sucked away by the Interplay BOGO deal.
Speeds have been pretty high for me over the last few days.

I believe you when you say it's a computer issue, it's quite possible all your downloads may be going slowly.
update your network card drivers, are you using wireless?
etc, etc.
Also, are you using the downloader or the web version?

I'm not on wireless, I'm connected to a network through a router. The funny thing is, the download speed is only slow when I come here. I was downloading addons for World of Warcraft last night and it was working fine. Maybe the above poster is correct and it is just GOG being overrun with people downloading from the Interplay promotion.

I've had pretty varying speeds from GOG, from 60 KB/s to 2500 KB/s per file, I've been running Vista and 7 throughout my time on GOG, haven't done any tests with downloading a lot of files on slower speeds, but the total max I've reached is 7MB/s or so (2 files at 2500-2600 KB/s and one a bit slower). I'd guess it's a temporary slowdown.

I don't think it's a Vista-specific issue...I use Vista and generally get good download speeds. It could just be that the servers are taking a bit of a beating from other downloaders for the moment.
Do you notice low speeds from other sites? That could be a sign that your network isn't configured properly.

Anytime I download anything from any other site, the download speed works fine. I only noticed the slowdown when I came here earlier today to redownload Postal 2 and BG&E
I haven't noticed a thing with my computer...Are there any download programs that speed up downloading, because DOWNTHEMALL hates me.
Well last night I was getting battlechess to try on my netbook and the 44MB file would normally have taken me 2-5 minutes from GOG but it took more than 10
