Well that certainly was quite a bundle of surprise for the rest of her class.
Wow, I wish I grew up in the Netherlands.
That's pretty insane really. If I ever have a daughter she's getting locked up until she's 18.

Don't do that. It will be for the worse (well, most of the times, it is). Instead, educate her. ;)
did anyone read the article?

Father of the girl is a suspected to be the father of the girl's kid.

it is possibility that the girl did not start early...

Well they're looking into the possibility. Whatever the case, this is far from a good situation. I hope her and her kid aren't too affected by all this. Although obviously it's unavoidable to some degree.
WTF?
Pregnancy and childbirth in girls this young happens in many countries, for many reasons (the UK and USA in particular have high rates of teenage pregnancy).

Not exactly a great piece of reporting either. Not sure how this is particularly relevant news to anyone outside of the Netherlands (Especially as this is on a UK news website). Mind you, this is the Yahoo news site (and the "parenting" section...) so I'm not really sure if I should be expecting any particular journalistic standards.

Darling_Jimmy: WTF?
Well you could argue that the name has no meaning in a non-English speaking country, but that's plainly not the case in Egypt. So yeah, way to make her sound like a serial killer.

heh. serial killer?

English will most likely continue to grow in popularity therefore most likely the girl will be bi-lingual. Both fluent in egyptian and english

Neither word for face and word for book are going to change their meaning in 10 years.

As a commercial company Facebook might not exist in few years either being replaced by something else or evolving into something different maybe with different name. Even if it prevails and becomes part of everyday life of every citizen on planet.

still

Book to the face joke will really hurt that kid.

She keeps a book.

Full of faces.

Yeah Facebook might go the same way that Myspace is going right now (yes it still exists). But still, myspace looks like it will last almost a decade and Facebook has more going for it. But given that the face of technology is ever changing it would be easy for Facebook to be rendered utterly obsolete by the next big thing in ways it didn't quite manage to do to Myspace itself.

oh.

that's quite deranged way of thinking. +1 respect
